The original image that was used to make the meme was posted on X.com on August 21st, 2024 by user @bflyzone_^[1]. The initial post was not well known, receiving only just above 5,000 views in four months.

Spread

On August 29th, 2024, Instagram user alchemitsu uploaded the image with the caption "The girl I pulled by being goofy"^[2] which gained over 5000 likes in three months (shown below)

On September 18th, 2024, Instagram user churrozard1__ posed a reel of the still image with Yeat's song "If We Being Real" playing over it with the caption "Me looking at Pokemon Cards"^[3] (image shown below). This reel received over 396K Likes in less than three months.

On November 27th, 2024, Instagram user souls_world posted ^[4] an edited version of the image saying "Me telling her the lore of "https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/subcultures/elden-ring">Elden Ring (shown below) This post received over 26K likes in under a week. This image was later reposted to r/animememes and received over 11k upvotes within 24 hours^[5].
