A day after the concert took place at The Forum in Los Angeles in April 2022 numerous videos of Tobey standing in the crowd were posted to social media, often in the context of memes.

Origin

On April 9th, 2022, Billie Eilish performed a concert at The Forum in L.A.^[1] The next day, a variety of videos showing Maguire in the crowd during the show were uploaded online. For example, TikTok^[2] user @beaanim_ posted a video of Maguire bobbing his head to a song, gaining over 22 million views in just under two weeks (shown below). The video was shared to Twitter^[3] by @CultureCrave that day, gaining over 64,000 likes and 5,700 retweets in the same span of time. Maguire appears to be with his family at the concert.

Spread

Numerous videos of Tobey Maguire at the concert were posted to social media over the course of the following days, many going viral. On April 10th, TikToker^[4] @sluttaykiwiw posted a video set to music from the Spider-Man films zooming in to show Tobey, gaining over 2.8 million views in two weeks (shown below, left). On the same date, TikToker^[5] @blackopiumandcigarettes posted a video showing Tobey clapping along to Billie making a speech, gaining over 800,000 views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

On April 11th, TikToker^[6] @julesss_21 posted a video sitting five seats away from Tobey Maguire at the concert, gaining over 1.5 million views in just over a week (shown below). Tobey's presence at the concert and the number of videos uploaded of him there was reported on by HITC^[8] on April 12th.

On April 13th, TikToker^[7] @demerchmichael posted a video joking about the way Tobey is standing after Billie says "I couldn't care less what your status is," comparing him to the Standing Person Emoji (🧍) gaining over 9.3 million views in a week (shown below).
