About

Turkish Quandale Dingle is a nickname given to a teenage boy, Michael Amato, who appears in a series of TikTok Rizz Party 'Carnival' boys videos dancing at his friend's sweet 16 party. The nickname is a reference to the meme character Quandale Dingle and was given to the boy for a perceivable resemblance between him and an edited photo of rapper YoungBoy NBA with a large nose, which is often used to visually represent Quandale Dingle. The meme is part of a larger series of memes on TikTok Rizz Party lore. The most viral videos of Turkish Quandale were uploaded to TikTok in mid-March 2024 and were popularized in early April through video edits and memes expanding on the fictional lore of Turkish Quandale Dingle. In April 2024, Turkish Quandale revealed himself to be a teen named Mike Amato.

Origin

In late March 2024, TikTokers began making memes using several videos of teenage boys dancing at a Sweet 16 party, referring to the party as the "TikTok Rizz Party," based on a prior meme about a series of posters advertising a party of the same name.

The videos were uploaded sporadically by TikToker^[1][2] @islandentertainment starting on March 10th (prominent example shown below, left). In multiple videos, a teenager in a full black outfit can be seen dancing. Most notably, in a video uploaded on March 17th, he can be seen dancing with his tongue out (shown below, right).

While it's unclear who first called the teenager "Turkish Quandale Dingle," the earliest known example of the nickname being used in reference to the teen was posted on April 3rd, 2024, by TikToker^[3] @peroxidekaw, garnering over 279,000 views in a day (shown below). The video compares the teen to a photoshopped image of YoungBoy NBA that is often used as a visual representation of the original Quandale Dingle.

Memes and videos referring to the teenager as "Turkish Quandale Dingle" continued to appear on TikTok over the following days. On April 3rd, 2024, TikToker^[4] @carlosxsolos posted a video pitting Turkish Quandale against another dancer at the party, garnering over 3.4 million views in a day (shown below, left).

On April 4th, TikToker^[5] @outlandishcookie posted an edit analyzing every video of the party that Turkish Quandale appeared in, garnering over 1.8 million views in under a day (shown below, right).

Identity Reveal

On April 6th, 2024, Turkish Quandale Dingle revealed himself to be teen named Michael Amato, using the TikTok^[6] account @michael_amato1. In the earliest video on the account, Amato films a skit with another TikTok Rizz Party member known as "blue tie" in which they joke abut their resemblances to Quandale Dingle and TikToker "Cookie," garnering over 11.2 million views in two days (shown below).
