About

Unc Still Got It refers to a viral video of an older Black man, called an "unc" in the original caption, skipping over a jump rope while sitting down on pavement and lifting off his rear end. The clip had the caption, "Unc still got it," inferring that the man was still good in old age at the odd jump roping technique. The video became a prevalent reaction video and GIF as it was used in viral tweets and GIF caption memes to joke about someone who is seemingly past their prime but still has skills in their field of expertise. The video and GIF also became an exploitable, as meme creators replaced the man with other people, mostly using Viggle AI, and recaptioned the original caption to fit other scenarios. The meme was particularly popular among sports fans of the NBA, NFL and association football (soccer) to make fun of players who were performing better than expected despite their age.
