What Do You Say? You're My Guardian Angel refers to an exploitable video trend that uses a nightcore remix of the song 'The Fox' by Ylvis, also known as "What Does The Fox Say?" The trend is similar to Wenomechainsama and Mama, I'm A Criminal, in that, it displays moldy speech bubbles containing the lyrics being sung by characters that are inserted by each creator. The trend started on TikTok in early 2022 and also spread to YouTube in the following months.
Origin
On April 28th, 2022, TikToker[1] autisticpinkiepie posted a video that showed the characters Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy from My Little Pony singing a nightcore remix of the song "The Fox" by Ylvis. Over the course of one month, the video received roughly 247,300 plays and 44,400 likes (shown below).

Additionally, the nightcore remix used in the meme was created by the YouTube channel Nightcore Mania on April 27th, 2016, where over the course of six years, it received 53,400 views. At the 2:18-minute mark is when the sample used in the meme begins (shown below).
Spread
On April 28th, 2022, TikToker[2] nb.rouxls posted a new iteration, inserting SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick Star into the template and earning roughly 42,100 plays and 7,600 likes in one month (shown below, left). On April 30th, 2022, TikToker[3] noirsrubikscube inserted Robert Pattinson's depiction of The Batman as well as Paul Dano's The Riddler. The video received roughly 69,100 plays and 9,400 likes in four weeks (shown below, right).

On May 2nd, 2022, YouTuber Succfishy posted a version of the TikTok trend that inserted the characters Jowee and Crazy Barks from the video game Drawn to Life, earning roughly 6,700 views over the course of three weeks (shown below, left). On May 3rd, 2022, YouTuber wuwu posted a blank template of the meme, earning roughly 13,800 views over the course of three weeks (shown below, right).
More TikTokers created their own versions of the meme going into May 2022, each referencing their own fandoms and characters. As of May 24th, 2022, TikToker[1] autisticpinkiepie's sound[4] has been used for roughly 3,900 videos.
