About
When You're Throwing a Party and a Bunch of Fat Bitches Show Up refers to a Hood Irony meme that uses a scene from SpongeBob SquarePants in which SpongeBob is yelling, "No, no, no, no, no! Everyone, get out!" The meme, created by an account called @lightskinwonderful, became increasingly moldy and low-quality going into 2023, leading to avant-garde exploitable usage across TikTok, Instagram and Twitter / X, among other sites.
Origin
The original meme was posted by a since-deleted Twitter and Instagram user named @lightskinwonderful or @darkskinawful whose currently active account on Instagram[1] is @lightskinwonderfvl. The earliest known repost of the meme was shared by Instagram[2] user @mememanmyles on October 2nd, 2019, gaining roughly 188,400 likes in four years (shown below).
Spread
The meme spread on social media going into the 2020s, as many reposters made the video increasingly moldy and low-quality. For instance, on May 5th, 2020, iFunnier[3] @ONlONADE_2014 posted a low-quality version, gaining 260 smiles in three years. On July 20th, 2021, iFunnier[4] @RacistFestiveSlothv2 shared a cropped version that gained over 1,100 smiles in two years (shown below).
Increasingly viral and low-quality reposts of the video persisted on iFunny[5] in 2022. On December 30th, 2022, TikToker[6] @gio_sskid reposted the video, gaining roughly 2.8 million plays and 469,400 likes in a year.
On June 19th, 2023, TikToker[7] @illegalbugtrader posted a video that remixed the video and referenced the Blueberry Cat meme, gaining roughly 2.4 million plays and 510,700 likes in six months (shown below). The video gained viral reposts on subreddits like /r/21stCenturyHumour [8] as well as inspired the video to become a commonplace exploitable in late 2023.
