You Just Insulted My Entire Race Of People, followed by either But Thank You or But Yes, refers to the caption on a series of image macros consisting of screenshots taken from a 2020 comedy special by comedian and actor Jimmy O. Yang. The screenshots saw considerable use as image macros on Reddit starting in April 2021 in self-aware jokes about common stereotypes.
Origin
On May 8th, 2020, streaming service Amazon Prime released comedian Jimmy O. Yang's comedy special Good Deal. During the special, Yang tells a joke about a woman telling him after sex, "Jimmy, I'm just glad the stereotype's not true; you don't have a small penis," to which he answers, "Bitch, you understand you just insulted my entire race of people? But thank you." The clip can be seen at timestamp 1:15 in the trailer for the special (shown below).
On April 19th, 2021, Redditor u/SWSealex posted an image macro to /r/memes[1] with top text reading, "Her: oh, you're from Sweden? I love pewdiepie and meatballs. Me:" followed by two images of Jimmy O. Yang saying, "You Just Insulted My Entire Race Of People, But Thank You." The post gained over 56,700 upvotes in four days (shown below).

The format inspired a number of popular new variants over the course of April 19th on Reddit. For example, on that day Redditor u/carnivalgamer posted a version to /r/memes[2][3] replacing "but thank you" with "but yes," garnering over 29,300 upvotes in four days (shown below, left). Later that day, u/Superskish posted a version referencing Minecraft, garnering over 55,000 upvotes in four days (shown below, right).
Later that day, u/Thudnfer posted to /r/DnDmemes[5] with a meme about a Tabaxi, a cat-like humanoid in Dungeons & Dragons, getting distracted by yarn, garnering over 29,300 upvotes in four days (shown below).
On April 20th, Instagram[4] meme page @741_memes posted u/carnivalgamer's meme, garnering over 38,000 likes in three days. On April 21st, Redditor u/AggressiveIyAvg posted a new version of the meme to /r/ProgrammerHumor,[6] garnering over 50,000 upvotes in two days (shown below).
