About
"You Look At Him And Tell Me There's A God" is a line of dialogue spoken by Master Shake about Meatwad from the animated TV series Aqua Teen Hunger Force in response to Frylock saying he wants them to join a church. A subtitled screenshot from the scene became popular as a reaction image and in image macros starting in 2017.
Origin
On November 10th, 2002, season 1, episode 11 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force,[1] titled "Bad Replicant," aired on Adult Swim. At one point in the episode, Meatwad is reading a hymnal with the intention of joining a church with Frylock. Master Shake takes the opportunity to mock the situation and Meatwad, saying, "Look at him and tell me there's a God," to which Meatwad responds, "He made me in his own image," (shown below).
On February 4th, 2017, Tumblr[2] user retrolizard posted the scene as four separate screenshots, garnering over 117,000 notes in four years. On February 19th, Know Your Meme[3] user Jill posted the panels as a single image (shown below).

Following the viral Tumblr post, the subtitled image of Master Shake was used a number of times over the course of the year in image macros and as a reaction to content deemed "shocking" or "against god." For example, two image macros using the image in reaction to Nazi Furries were collected by ME.ME[4][5] in April of that year (shown below, left and right).
On August 20th, Imgur[9] user suboptimalseth posted an image macro using the screenshot referencing The Emoji Movie, garnering over 85,000 views and 1,200 points in four years (shown below).
On October 2nd, Tumblr[6] user ladybugsawake posted a drawing of the video game character Cuphead drawn in the style of Master Shake, garnering over 35,000 notes in four years. On October 3rd, Tumblr[7] user holtarna reblogged the image, adding Master Shake's reaction (shown below). On October 3rd, Know Your Meme[8] user elmashojaldra posted a screenshot of the exchange, garnering over 10,000 views in three years (shown below, left).
On October 5th, KYM[9] user PeabodySam posted a screenshot of the elmashojaldra upload next to another of The Devil from Cuphead aligned perfectly, garnering over 8,700 views in three years (shown below, right).
The image continued to see use over the next three years, resulting in a number of viral examples. On November 17th, 2019, Redditor u/AngryGothBoi posted a screenshot to /r/CringeTopia[10] of a Twitter user using the image to react to an Onision tweet reading, "It doesn't matter what outfit you are wearing, you always look amazing on your knees with your mouth open," garnering over 28,900 upvotes in roughly two years (shown below). The original tweet has since been deleted.
On July 17th, 2020, Facebook[11] page "Muster Point Memes," which shares blue-collar and oilfield-work-themed memes, posted an image macro featuring the image of Shake with Viper sunglasses photoshopped onto him, reading, "Watching my coworker try to complete a simple task," garnering over 2,400 reactions and 3,100 shares in 10 months (shown below).
