About

"You Look At Him And Tell Me There's A God" is a line of dialogue spoken by Master Shake about Meatwad from the animated TV series Aqua Teen Hunger Force in response to Frylock saying he wants them to join a church. A subtitled screenshot from the scene became popular as a reaction image and in image macros starting in 2017.

Origin

On November 10th, 2002, season 1, episode 11 of Aqua Teen Hunger Force,[1] titled "Bad Replicant," aired on Adult Swim. At one point in the episode, Meatwad is reading a hymnal with the intention of joining a church with Frylock. Master Shake takes the opportunity to mock the situation and Meatwad, saying, "Look at him and tell me there's a God," to which Meatwad responds, "He made me in his own image," (shown below).

On February 4th, 2017, Tumblr[2] user retrolizard posted the scene as four separate screenshots, garnering over 117,000 notes in four years. On February 19th, Know Your Meme[3] user Jill posted the panels as a single image (shown below).
