Me_irl "The October that made history" The entire vear of 2016 has been a glorious vear of memes for the popular social media subreddit, Me_irl; a vital hub for fresh memes, and the origin of many viral memes. In 2016, memes that originated or flourished in the subreddit would see incredibly popular feedback from other social media websites. However, a peculiar fact about these memes would hold true, they would be uncontested for upvotes for approximately a month. People noticed this around the 5th month of the meme calendar, May, when the incredibly popular "Dat Boi" meme arose that an unknown redditor conducted the brilliant "Meme of the Month" calendar. It was incredibly consistent, with fresh memes such as Harambe lasting even outside their designated meme of the month calendar spot. This foolproof plan lasted all the way until September 2016, where the meme of the month was a dual bouncer response meme. Shortly before October, many expected the MotM to be communism, as the October Revolution was a reoccurring theme in October memery. However when October rolled around, no one had any more memes! There was no meme ironic enough to provide enough Dankeity to go viral! This is referred to as the meme drought, a period lasting the first 6 days of October where no MotM quality memes arose. In desperation, the subredditors of Me_irl created a meme of the "Bear in the Big Blue House," a popular children's show. This received much criticism, as the BitBBH was not an original meme, but a meme flavor added on to preexisting memes. This was also critiqued, as Le Doot Generation; a cult that praises (thanks) the god Mr. Skeltal every day and is led by the mighty Skeletor, was planning to save the meme drought, as October was to be the year of the spookers. This spiraled Me_irl into the great Meme Civil War. During the war of these were the crusader meme, an age old favorite, and a newcomer, the Goosebumps memes. Latter in the war, the results were narrowing down, bear and goosebumps memes lost, primarily due to their new existence, and it was a power struggle between the spookers and the crusaders. Suddenly, a new meme sparked. While BIONICLE memes were always there, they had not seen excessive popularity such as Harambe, Dat Boi, and Arthur's fist. However, once reignited, they wiped out both spookers and the crusaders, and there was a karma monopoly owned by BIONICLE. One man, however, would free Me_irl from this monopoly. On Sunday night, Kenneth Bone was turned into a meme due to his cute personality, slick moustache, and bright red sweater. Kenneth freed Me_irl from BIONICLE, but it created a vacuum that drew in the STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT 2 memes. However, being experienced with a monopoly beforehand, Me_irl could control these memes, from gaining too much power. This resulted in a peaceful conglomerate of all these contenders, making high quality memes at an astonishing rate! This is known as the meme renaissance, and is enjoyed by all.
