Just because it's elaborated doesn't mean OP agrees with it, elaboration means it's pretentious. OP wrote it to mock CAD's mentality, it's there to show how low of an opinion he has of gamer and internet culture. I couldn't find it, but it isn't unbelievable that it's a quote from CAD himself, that he'd be pretentious enough to clarify who he's talking about in brackets.
Videogame news trends here all the time, it's obvious that KYM's userbase is made up of gamers. It's obvious that nobody interpreted it the way you did, otherwise it'd be downvoted.
