In that case, why don't you prepare the hamburger for a little longer? Or is the quality of the food no longer important to you?
Including every Pokémon in every game is no easy task, and we've tolerated a lot from the series because of that. After all, you can't expect every single Pokémon to have a unique animation for every single move they can learn, and that massive menagerie of miraculous monstrosities is what makes Pokémon, well, Pokémon. But if they're going to get rid of that, they can't expect to get away with the same level of quality we've seen up until now, especially when they cite improving it as their reason for doing so.
It's really either one or the other with this many Pokemon, to be fair.
If they had to cut over half the Pokemon, but they showed improvements to the battles that match the visual quality to other modern RPGs like Digimon: Cyber Stealth or Dragon Quest 11. There would be a lot less complaining.
