There has been a wave of lootings all over Argentina. The ruling party officially adressed news about lootings as destabilizing rumours created by people linked to the rising Javier Milei (the most voted candidate in the primary elections of this year), but later had to recognize they were happening and said that there's no evidence Javier Milei had anything to do with it. Patricia Bullrich (former minister of security and currently running for President) has asked for a declaration of state of emergency.

We had a piquetero leader saying on live, air TV saying that his party incentivized the lootings because it's a crime that a kilo of schnitzels/milanesas costs 4200 ARS (5.77 USD). For context, the minimum salary is 112500 ARS (155 USD). He hasn't been charged for any crime yet.
