On June 26th, 2025, TikToker^[1] Ferb✅💰 (@imlowkpherb) posted a video that was a part of the Ruben's Room trend. The video started with an "old candle" saying, "I'm scared to join Ferb's room," set to the song "Freaks" by Jordan Clarke,^[2] centering on the lyrics, "Come to the land of the lost and lonely / Don't be afraid, we'll be one big family / Of Freaks, like you and me."

At the video's seven-second mark, a "goon rag curtain" is shown, which is a green plaid fabric with white stains on it (censored screenshot shown below). Over four days, the video received over 101,200 likes.

On June 29th, 2025, TikToker^[3] @the.realest.real0719 posted a video, using the song "Freaks," adding a POV caption that read, "The goon curtain video scared you so much you cleaned your 2 month depression room," gaining over 442,200 likes in a day (shown below).

That same day, TikToker^[5] @feraldog posted a video with text reading, "Since y'all can't find the goon curtain," in which she attached a brief recording of the original video. Her post gained over 36,100 likes in a day.

Also June 29th, 2025, TikToker^[4] @imlowkpherb followed up on his viral Goon Curtain video, showing a DM he allegedly received from someone who said, "I want you dead." Over one day, the video received over 1,000 likes (shown below).

The Goon Curtain video was also referenced in non-viral tweets^[6] shared during the same timeframe.
