Since it's such a politically fraught time in American politics, a significant amount of online chatter this week was devoted to controversy, not memes. They're not even fun controversies either, like last week's ridiculous Pokémon leaks.

However, there were a few new templates that broke through in a ridiculous week, thanks in large part to the Republican Presidential candidate pottering around a McDonald's for a while, while another old beer ad became the week's trending exploitable.

Donald Trump Working At McDonald's

Former President Donald Trump has had an interesting final month of his Presidential campaign, spending a surprising amount of it wandering around aimlessly. His wanderings then brought him to a McDonald's location in Pennsylvania this week, where he stood in front of the cooking equipment for a photo op, served fries and waved from a drive-thru window.

Naturally, the image of Trump "working" a McDonald's kitchen was ripe for memes, and social media had a field day with the objectively ridiculous photos that came out of his PR stunt ahead of the upcoming Presidential Election.

What's The Matter, Lagerboy?

From the surprisingly fruitful realm of beer ads comes "Lagerboy," a meme starring a judgmental goblin (or hobgoblin technically) mocking the viewer for not having a super flavorful beer.

The smugness of the goblin made the ad malleable to memers, and the image turned into a text-replacement exploitable on social media.

Ding Dong Eat It Up

Meanwhile, on YouTube, a good old-fashioned prank video went viral this week. The video by Fique in which he pretended to be a curry chef during a college lecture gained millions of views thanks in large part to the video's catchphrase, "Ding dong, eat it up!"

The video and catchphrase became a smash hit on TikTok, where the sound of Fique saying "Ding Dong Eat It Up" proved malleable to dozens of subjects.

Angry Texas Fan

Lastly, you gotta see the hair on this Texas fan:

We're tempted to just leave it at that, but here's some additional information. This is Grant Walther, a Texas student who went viral for having just a ridiculous hair-to-face ratio.

After appearing in an ESPN broadcast, sports fans had an incredible time cracking off jokes at his expense, and eventually, Walther scored an interview with the Daily Mail for his meme that's since become known as "Angry Texas Fan."
