And the meme of February 2025 goes to …

Cave divers and their proclivity to crawl into spaces that clearly look like a death trap to us surface walkers. Started by the infamous 2009 Nutty Putty Cave Incident, this trend, dedicated to those who risk dying in dark, unpleasantly moist and extremely narrow underground spaces just to get a thrill, took off on TikTok this month, with users posting videos of themselves spelunking comically small ventilation shafts, cracks in the floor, keyholes and toilets, only their boots sticking out to indicate that a brave cave diver is currently exploring places unknown. Cave divers and memes about them effortlessly grab the top spot this month with 34.5 percent of you voting for them.

"Say Drake"

Not everyone loved Kendrick Lamar's Super Bowl halftime show performance, but it has undeniably left quite an impression. Conan O'Brien even made a joke about it at the Oscars. In memes, the "Say Drake" line, paired with Lamar's grin and stylish walk, has been a major inspiration for references, redraws and other memes, which marks yet another milestone in the nation's recently favorite pastime — hating on Drake. "Say Drake" gets second place – or rather shares it with the meme below – with nearly 8 percent of total votes.

Milton's Dancing Rat Trend

Also in second place this month, we have Milton's Dancing Rat Trend, the second 3D animation of a dancing rat to become a meme over the past five years. What can we say, the meme is sweet and simple: Repeat the rat's sick dancing moves and you're golden. iShowSpeed has done it, South Korean dance group ChilLIT has done it, and you can do it to. Nearly 8 percent of you were here for our rat boy.

Artists Who Can Sing / Artists Who Can't Sing

In the spicy imaginary beefs department this month, we have Artists Who Can Sing vs. Artists Who Can't Sing, a meme launched by TikTok videos comparing artists who supposedly can't and can't sing. The budding format was propelled to new heights by Baebadoobee's recent crashout, which was followed by a video of her being put against a clip of NBA YoungBoy singing opera. Slap some fire, laser eyes and Viggle AI magic on top, and you've got a meme that gets fourth place on our chart this month with 7.5 percent of total votes.

Gulf of America

Wrapping up our top five for the month, we have the Gulf of Mexico America 🦅🦅🦅. After Donald Trump suggested that the Gulf of Mexico should be renamed to something that resonates better with the voter's soul, people responded to the idea by making their own suggestions for how the gulf should be named. A total of 7.5 percent of you voted for this format — thank you, mister President, very cool.

Now for the memes that didn't get the voting power to get to the top five, but we think that they are neat anyway. Please give your warmest welcome to My Name Is David from the hit song "Jackie's Box" (5.5%), the lovely anglerfish that swam to the surface and witnessed the beauty of our world if only for a minute before meeting its demise (4.5%), taking things a bit too seriously in Can't You Take Anything Seriously (4%), Kanye crashing out (again) in front of millions of his social media followers (3.5%), learning how to farm aura from the best of them (2.5%), Jakeing it with Jake the Dog (2.5%), the unusually frequent North American plane incidents (2.5%), XXXTentacion getting posthumously cringe-shamed (2.5%), showing passers-by who's boss by loudly blasting Fetty Wap on a JBL Speaker (2%), feeling Montoya's pain with Montoya Por Favor (1.5%), taking it easy like Casual Mai Shiranui (1.5%), Baebadoobee's crashout and the many memes it inspired (1.1%), and, lastly, Elon Musk's DOGE Zoomers and the one known as "Big Balls," in particular (0.5%).

Thank you for voting and see you next month!
