@Suiseiseki

Heh, I remember that old thing. Though, it's funny that I just noticed you made the mouth EXACTLY like how it is in my current avatar. Lol, don't do that. It looks weird. make all the circles basically the same size and adjust the angle so it's a proper, realistic smile (well, as far as snowmen go).

Also, could you make the left eyebrow (the one on the right side of the picture) look like the right eyebrow. Danke.

Congratulations, you just circled the top of his shorts.

Top of "her" shorts, my good man. That's a sketch of KYM-tan. Also, it's actually supposed to be a dress.

About the story, I have a few questions: How long have the non-internet originating main characters been stuck in the internet to have lost their perception of the mythical 'irl'?
Can internet beings get corrupted(sick) if they don't protect themselves from viruses?
Do internet beings need things to live, such as anons needing to occasionally go to a chan board, trolls needing to feed off rage, do the main cast need to eat digital versions of irl food to keep from starving?
If not, then do they just get bigger or smaller depending on feeding?
Or is there no feeding at all?

You talking to me?

@ Characters lossage of memories: This is rather deep stuff we are talking about, however I also agree the rate of memory loss is dependant from person to person. But also, it's not like anyone is willingly forgeting things, it's slowly eating away at them with some people to the point of insanity.

Natsuru's relation to memory loss: "When I realized it, I was too late. Names of pets, freinds… family members… how they looked… how they felt… what it was like to talk to them, to play with them, what they meant to me… I even forgot my own face… voice… all I can do now is wander the house I don't even remember building in hopes I had left myself some clues as to what I was." To Natsuru memory was the most important thing she had, and it was stripped from her. Despite her outward apearance, she is nothing more than a lost soul.

As far as my character goes, memory loss would be easy:
don't know, don't care
As in he doesn't remember his past, but it doesn't think it concerns him anyway.

Edit: @ Suiseiseki: KYM tan's hair on her shoulders kind of bothers me like it's missing something, but I'm not sure what it is.

Looks at rephrence pic Remove the hair from the shoulders and put it on her back instead.

Edit: Also, Im detecting a skirt on KYM tan, not pants….

DP kun. Still a work in progress. I just want to make sure that I'm making him correctly. I still have to fix his shirt ,add detail to his tie, and redo the legs.

Yeah, I think DP has angrier or at least less patient looking eyes than KYM in most of the references you're using, so I guess that's worth working on once you fix everything more important to fix. The other criticisms I can find for the current model for him are that his hair is a bit tame and un-messy, and the arms look kinda skinny… Otherwise, it's looking pretty good, and I look forward to seeing the next version of him!

@natsuru (Sorry for the late relpy) I'm getting a part time job soon, so I may not be able to help as much as I had liked to, but if you send me a link to, or post the plot that you ahve, I'll be happy to review it.

@Suiseiseki. I don't think Deadpool-kun should be smiling. It slightly takes away his dark demeanour, and he isn't smiling in any of the refernce images either.

Also, I think both models would be great if you added in the collar things (I don't know their propper name) which go down the chest of the lab coat. And, maybe Deadpool-kun would suit a large popped neck collar?

I know that 3D moddeling is hard, but you've done a great job so far Thumbs up

@DrThundercritic. Ok, what exactly is missing?

@CjayS. That's simply the default expression pose. I'll change it if:

A. I figure out how to get them to move their lips.

or if I can't do that

B. I'll just change the model to have him frown or at least look more neutral.

The pupils, that bubble shape thing so it looks alive.
Like this many examples
And the eyes, I think is looks better if is oval than circle shape, I think?

Derpy's reaction to memory loss: "I never realized how fast I was losing my memory. People I once knew….I can't even remember how they looked….But also…I kind of don't want to remember my old life. What if I hated it? What if I was a suicidal freak? I'm actually content with not wanting to know. I have a life here…a simple mailmare with derpy eyes. And you know what? I'm happy with this life and I wouldn't trade it for the world."
To Derpy, memories of the real world the memories of the real world is something she chose not to search for. She has doubts that she would even like to remember the real world. She's perfectly content with keeping the real world a mystery to her.

My family network has been down for a couple of days now, but I have been using that time to start making my sprites. I will upload an example later.

@ Suiseiseki: Good work! :D
@ Fei Hazelwood: You can't take any important roles, but we can still add you as an npc.

OK, i'm gonna put in some more details about my character:
Prone to nosebleeds (usually when he meets a female character- it's for teh lulz)
Thinking about having him die mid-way in the game, but, being part Timelord, he'd regenerate- but since he's still mainly human, he wouldn't change appearances or personality)
REALLY hot-blooded: He's like the Kamina of the group, but slightly less badass.
Most of his attacks do fire, electric, or explosive damage.
Hates the real world, calling it "The most irritating pain in the ass, beating out even the IRS in annoyance." Has no intentions of going back.

It's good.

But I think we really need to make a new rule and make it serious. I don't mean to be rude of anything, but it's getting kind of necessary.

Rule 1: If you can't get your ass in MeetingWords, you can't work on the game.

MeetingWords is where shit happens. This thread is way too cluttered and disorganized, and way too hard to track. Death the Kid (And others), I like your ideas, but you either have a group meet in MeetingWords or we're not doing this. Not one single solitary thing in this thread can be taken as official, no matter who says it, for 2 reasons: It's way too damn hard to find the details, and it's really hard to have a group discussion about all this. Kalmo and I have done most of the mapwork in MeetingWords, but that hasn't been completed yet because nobody's been meeting there for anything. We can't just schedule a date every 3 weeks and then I'm the only one that shows up. Here's the thing, if you can get in MeetingWords, get in MeetingWords. I think all of us can run more than one tab, so if you're on the internet, pull up MeetingWords. And if you're posting here, you can get into MeetingWords. I'd also recommend that you get into IRC as well so we can ping you if you forget about MeetingWords chat. Look, if you're going to keep posting here without putting in any real work, I'm going to start mitigating your roles in the script when we write it. If nobody gets in MeetingWords starts on the script within 3 days, I will begin pushing out chapters and I'll be the only one writing the plot, because nobody else apparently wants to. I've already waited almost 2 months for the plot.

Also, for God's sake, you're making the game in the wrong order. It's plot, then characters, then story, then substance. Sure, we're going to be making some changes to the plot, characters, and story, but we need those before we make the game. You're putting the cart before the horse.
Also, please guys, be reasonable. This is a sci-fi/fantasy RPG. I'm more concerned about the fantasy outweighing the sci-fi.

I think the reason we're fantasy heavy at the moment is because an RPG of any type just lends itself better to a fantasy mindset. Most people when they hear the words Role Playing Game will immediately think of a fantasy setting by default. In fact, I think it could be Interesting if as the main characters learned more of the True Nature of the setting the game would become more and more sci-fi, and less and less fantasy.

I'd be happy to help in any way I can, it's just that nobody has really given me a way to help beyond saying stuff here. To be honest, I'm not an Authorial type, and am much more Editorial in nature, but would be glad to help in either capacity. I can program okay, but I sense that I would likely do more harm than good, given that there are already two people working on the project, both likely to be more skilled than I am, and attempting to co-ordinate would probably be a nightmare. But I would help if I were asked, and all that said, I can still program decent stuff at a good rate, it's just that I don't know as much as the others likely do.

In regards to the plot, if anybody is going to contribute we would need to know a few basic facts, like where do we start (At the creation of KYM-Tan? Or with a Phantasia style prologue? Or another option entirely?), where do we end (High note, low note, moral, caution, an uncertain future?), and what themes will pervade each section of the plot (Memory, loss, friendship, the loss of humanity and what value humanity actually truly holds, that sort of thing). I understand if you don't want to talk about those here, but you can't complain that we aren't helping if you don't give us what is necessary to help you.

The reason you're getting characters first is because that's what most people are interested in contributing, and to be honest it kinda seemed like you didn't need any real help with the plot at first. I, at least, figured if you were at the point where you could start allowing people to request be characters then you already had at least a decent idea of the plot, and therefore figured it would be insulting to contribute much in that way.

There are my two cents on the matter, you may take them or leave them, as you please.

Also, I know little of the meetingwords thing, and up to this point have felt it would be impolite to broach the subject. So. What, exactly, is the deal with that? Other than it meaning that basically any attempt to pass an idea you might find worthwhile would now be worthless.

Unlike everyone else I'm MORE occupied during summer vacation, but that ends in 3 weeks when I move in to college so I'll have more free time then.

Can someone please explain the whole "arte" thing? It's a bit confusing to me.

They're "Skills" or "Spells" or "Techniques" or "abilities" the main difference being that the style we're using if you use a specific art with say, a fire weapon one hundred times, you get the fire version of that art, which is called the alter art. Doesn't always work quite like that, but I think that should give you an idea of how it works.

Well, I can't get on MeetingWords right now because of viruses on my computer, and it's not letting me access anything. So, until I get the viruses removed, I can't do much. (I'm typing this via PS3, in which KYM does not work well on.) I visit MeetingWords often and a lot of times its just me there.

I'd love to help you write the plot, but until I get my laptop fixed, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either using a Wii for internet or PS3 for internet. I'm trying to get my laptop fixed as fast as possible, so please don't kick me from working on the game.

But I do have some good news, I'll be at a friend's place tomorrow, so I'll get on MeetingWords and that way, we can get some serious business done.

I'll try MeetingWords via PS3, and hopefully it'll work.

Have you tried your local library? They more than likely have a couple computers there.

I don't live near a library, and the closest one is surrounded by bad neighborhoods. Where I live is basically the middle of nowhere.

I know for a fact that the Wii's internet is not strong enough to support IRC or Meetingwords unfortunately.

However Derpy, your character introduction phase should at least take a few weeks to get to, so in that regard you should be fine.

I got my laptop fixed, so it's all good.

Also, I know it's a bit early for this…buuuut:

I still need to continue spriteing my character, but it won't be that hard for me since she just floats a few inches above the ground.

Also, Derpy, about the voice actors you sent me: They are good, however I need to know if we are going to have to pay to commision them or not. Either way won't really present a problem, but after you figure out We are going to have to complete KYM-Tan's Moveset ASAP.

I will make that my focus for tonight.

On a related note: I have a (half)Japanese freind fluent in both English and Japanese who couled fill in the voice roll of Suiseiseki. Granted, she won't like the idea of Desu-ing up a storm, but the fact I already have one of my freinds voice acting for the game she might want to join in.

>Implying that Suiseiseki wouled have to finish his moveset and get his battle diologe done before I couled approach her about it.
