Yuzco would like to use its trading companies to start shipment of oil to any country willing to buy it, also be placed as a common item of trade between the already established trading lines

Now that Eyyiks have slowed down on their expansion and put more work into the lands they already own, as well as have accepted two ports for their Empire, the Guild is looking forward to future cooperation.
We are still a bit worried about the well-being of our colonies in India.
I would like to propose a non aggression pact with the Eyyiks in India. I won't expand my colonies any farther north so long as you don't move any farther south.
So, a division of India by Eyyik north and Cheswick south?
You Are Reading This wrote:

Pretty much yeah. I propose a division as shown below.
Obviously this isn't the best image but you get the general idea.
Sergeant Arch Dornan wrote:

Does it involve Metal Gears?
Maybe to maintain the true north-south divide I can have all of the Aryan-Bengali area, while you pull down to the Dravidian area? It would be a little unfair for me if you just kept all of southern India and I was just left with chunklets of the north.
In the next turn the Central Empire is going to be put through some development.
Whilst that is in the works I am going to propose the founding of a factional alliance.
This is going to be a true alliance not a defensive pact (next level shit) that means joint war efforts.
To this grand alliance I invite:
Cheswick
Denmark
Genzodia
Japan
Ionia
Hueynation
Al-Andalus (under the guise that we fight against the common enemy, Christianity)
What say you all?
Laika wrote:
Al-Andalus (under the guise that we fight against the common enemy, Christianity)
The Sultan, intimately familiar with the Gallic crisis and concerned for the future of the Central Empire at this, its most difficult time, is hesitant of making an alliance with a possibly doomed state. He declines, but notes that once the Empire's stability has recovered he would be happy to build a stronger friendship.
Laika wrote:
Japan
The Japanese Emperor is barely familiar with European politics, but is very aware of just how far Japan's borders are from the Central Empire. There seems to be no practical point in joining an alliance, unless you can explain to him why it would be beneficial to do so.
Laika wrote:
Denmark
After witnessing the careless and destructive wars that the Empire dragged Hungary into, Denmark declines. They do, however, remark that they are very glad to be on good enough terms with the Empire to be considered an ally.
Laika wrote:
Genzodia
(I am unsure whether Some Guy from Temessee was ever even playing, since he only ever sent one PM. I am making his country an NPC until further notice. I will be playing Genzodia as a pacifist nation, as that is the way I interpreted his play-style.)
The Genzodians would not like to be pulled into any offensive wars, and decline outright. Furthermore, they issue a complaint about the war refugees flooding over their borders from the Balkans and Gaul.

I would give you the northern territories for no cost and have the claim to all the land below the line I drew (it was supposed to be a straight line).
@Laika
I certainly appreciate the offer of an alliance but until I see what exactly you mean by reform I'll be hesitant to join. If you make me the offer again after I see the changes you plan on making then my answer may change.
Then I accept, but please avoid colonizing Arabia or Persia if possible. We will get into conflict otherwise.
i would like to send a communicate to the tehuelches to see if they are willing to join the yuzcan republic, they will be given the same treatmen as their neighbors if they accept
Twisty wrote:

The Tehuelches were already in the process of applying their tribes for citizenship. They accept the invitation nonetheless.
@Syndic,
The response from Al-Andalus is respected and the matter put aside.
The response from Denmark is seen as stubborn after so many attempts at diplomacy, the Empire only just barely sees them in a positive light anymore.
The Genzodian response is thrown out and their complaints ignored. Relations are at all time low here after constant unwillingness and pacifism.
The Empire offers Japan a personal trade agreement, because if I remember correctly Japan has terrible natural ore deposits when compared to others. It wishes to help secure its independence of this great nation as it see's it as one of the final bastions of the far East. Most importantly Imperial military technologies and tactics are on offer.
Also What is the Japanese opinion on the domination of the mainland by Eyyik's?
Turn 7
Alliances
Northern Defensive Pact (Denmark, Cheswick, Central Empire, Genzodia)
Yuzco General Alliance (Yuzco, Cherokee, Omaha)
The Maghreb (Al-Andalus, Morocco, Tunis, Tlemcen)
Caribbean Defensive Pact (Hueynation, Carib, Seminole)
East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere (Ionia, Eyyiks, The Roses)
Comintern (Red Ruthenia, Crimea)
Baltic Federation (Novgorod, Lithuania, Poland)
Anti-Khorumid Coalition (Ayyubids, Saruhan, Georgia, Opus)
The World
Common Knowledge Tech: Gunpowder, Clipper Ships, Steam Power, Printing, Scientific Theory, Electricity, Vaccines, Rocketry, Rifling, Steam Aeroplanes, Robotics, Combustion, Mech Walker, Computer, Modern Fleet, Machine Guns
(You may steal these techs)
-Rum has been dismantled in a war with its neighbors as the coalition joined forces to destroy them.
-The Commonwealth and Opus have been overwhelmed by revolutionaries. Thanks to a food shortage brought on by continuous warfare the people lost trust in their governments. Some have simply turned to a different monarch while others have established republics. Lithuania itself is now a constitutional monarchy, still led by the Jagiellons. Ruthenia and Crimea, however, have turned to a new ideal: Communism.
-The Coalition against the Aztecs has attacked, winning significant victories at first. However, poor cohesion between the various allies and a greedy agenda supported by each led to poor use of those gains. Each invader sought to garrison and fortify what they captured, rather than forging on, hoping instead that their allies would bleed to damage the Aztecs. When all was said and done, the Aztecs were not forced to lose much territory and the coalition fell apart.
-The Aztecs have annexed their client states.
-Breaker assassins have eliminated the Blackfoot royal family in one fell swoop through a massive bombing attack. Crow royals have attempted to move in to secure the empty throne, but anarchist rebels have fought them in every city and at every turn. The nation has devolved into chaos.
Akash
The Alaskan Synod (Taryn)
Tech: Gunpowder, Rocketry, Rocket Planes, Liquid Fuel, Electricity, Blast Pinwheel Engine, Lasercoms (90%), Railguns, Genetics (60%)
-Over a dozen new bombardment satellites are put into orbit. Each new iteration is larger than the last.
-Lasercom tech is dropped into the Sahara and the Amazon, allowing the Alaskans there to reconnect with their homeland. Many of the men, eager to go home and return to their families, encourage their leaders to accept integration.
-A colony is established in India.
-The study of genetics and its application in military and crab-related science has begun.
-The Synod, believing that the legacy of their nation has expanded far beyond the t̵r͠adition͡a҉l̴ con͏ce҉pt of ҉A̧lask̶a ̨an͡d̸ ̶hơp̷i̴ng ͜to̡ b̷r̴ing͜ glob́a̛l p̡restiǵe͜ t̬̝͎o̧͕̝̭ ͇t̙͇̙̩͙̲͠h̖̞e͚͢ir͎͉̰͔̭͝ ̖̙͝n̬̳͉̦͙͈̞a̧̝ti͘o̺̼ͅn̴͚͉̰̩̝̫,̮̺̬̝͉͔ ͇̝͇̪̬̦͔h͖̫̙͉̜̲̱a̰v̼̱͞ͅe̢̞̯̯̘̹̫̝ ̠͍̰͈͈a͟d̪̞̻͉̺̩̪o̳̗̱̥̙̺p̦ṭ͇̳̪̭̣̣e͎̬̭d̹͡ ҉̖̫͓a̳̹̫̬͉ n̬̣̞̙͙e̳̹͚͍͓̳͎w̤ͅ ̰̘̼͙̩͚̪͝n̘̻̜a͕̬m̵̤̠̜̙e ̝f͓o̡̦̙̺̥͚r̝̝͞ ̶̮t͚͕̭h͏e̮͍͖̰̞ ̷c̗̙͡o̜̲̩͟u̖̩̣̮̦̰̥nt͏̝̻r̸̗̦y̸̠̜̝.̸͙̮̺̫̮ Ḩ̩̠̕͟e̴̗͈̳̟̺͇n̲̳̲̻̰͢c̺͓̳͖e̪̟͞f͏̮̦́͢o̢͉̥͘ṛ̗͘͞ţ̢́ͅḫ̵̨̭̰͈̠̳͈̜,̞̜̝̭̻͘ ̧͏̟̭t̡͢ͅh̼̮̙̥͞e̟̥̮̘͟͝y̞̩͓̥̦̝͡ ͍̻̣̙ͅs̨̳͓̦͎͕̜̻ͅh̸̴̖̰̯a͎̱͔̙̲l̢̹̳̞̞̺̭͇̩͕l̖͚͎̩̼̰̭ ̸̮̞̫̗̠͈́̀ͅm̷̞̰̺̮̱͞e̦̗͙̜͍̘͈̩͔ ̸͕͖̖̣̝͓͖͢ķ̛̻ṇ̻͈͔̱̜̱̥͜ͅo̶̪̻̹̣̞w̶͎n̖̥̭̕͞ ̵̦̤̝̮̥͎̞̙a̷̘͉͇̞̝̲̝͍͜s͏̘̩̫̜̹̗̝͠.̙̩̞̺̤.̡͜҉̮͙̯̠̬̫̣.̷̢̨͔̣̼̦̹̟̼̱̣ Ą̶̵̵ḱ̶͘͡a̴̡͘͡s̶̀͟͏h̛͡.̧́͝͏͡
Hueynation
Emmerich Dynasty (Sergeant Arch Dornan)
Tech: Clipper Ships, Gunpowder, Combat Armor (90%), Steam Power, Maxi Bun Perfect Burger, Vaccines, Scientific Theory, Clipper Ships, Printing (60%), Electricity (30%), Rocketry (80%), Rifling (60%), Steam Aeroplanes, Robotics (40%), Chemical Burger (10%), Mech Walker (10%)
-An even better burger is developed. Although it will never replace the prestige of the Maxi Bun, it proves to be even tastier and healthier.
-A small mech, called the Walker Gear, is developed for infantry use.
-A popular music star, Bavid Dowie, has risen in popularity through various vaguely familiar songs, such as "The Man Who Rused the World."
-A security force, called ADVENT, is established to keep the peace in troubled regions. Their first task was to put down unrest in Haiti through the use of force and propaganda.
Monarchy of the Roses
Rose Dynasty (Tchefuncte Bonaparte)
Tech: Dirigibles, Gunpowder, Electricity, Printing, Radio (70%), Airships, Clipper Ships, Steam Power (40%), Printing, Scientific Theory, Vaccines (70%), Rocketry, Rifling (80%), Steam Aeroplanes (90%), Computer (20%)
-The luddites have been branded as terrorists. The infrastructure they destroyed has been rebuilt under the protection of government forces.
-"No tech" reservations are established over regions deemed too conservative to join with the rest of the world. While this is sure to slow the Rose expansion of its modern infrastructure, it has the effect of pacifying most people who do not wish to change.
Yuzco
High U-Love Party (Twisty)
Tech: Printing, Steam Power, Steam Aeroplanes, Vaccines (90%), Digitization, Gunpowder, Clipper Ships (60%), Scientific Theory, Electricity, Rocketry, Rifling, Combustion, Machine Guns (20%), Oil Planes (50%)
-Embasies and trading posts are established in Ionia, Al-Andalus, Narthuria, and Egypt. The Andalucian port has been the only one with any success though; the continued Andalucian blockade of Africa has prevented any success in Narthuria, and Central Guild competition has cause the Ayyubid outpost to bankrupt.
-A large oil corporation has lobbied for an invasion of Mesopotamia. They claim that some of their prospectors have found truly massive deposits of crude oil there. Furthermore, the oil reserves within Yuzco itself have been waning; there needs to be an expansion of the business if the economy is to sustain itself.
-Yuzco joins the anti-Aztec coalition and attacks. A landing party inflicts massive casualties on the Aztec army, although they are ultimately required to pull back due to overwhelming Aztec numbers and abysmal cooperation among the other members of the alliance. To get Yuzco to sign peace with them, the Aztecs have given over the oil rights to their entire country, being that they do not use oil and doubt that they even have any.
Central Empire
Strength of Will Party (Laika)
Tech: Steam Power, Gunpowder, Rifling, Cryptoneurology, Telepathy (80%), Electricity (90%), Tesla Weaponry (60%), Clipper Ships (40%), Scientific Theory (30%), Vaccines (50%), Rocketry (30%), Steam Aeroplanes (60%), Robotics (30%), Combustion (20%), Machine Guns (30%)
-A second coup occurs, this one successful. The Strength of Will Party, a fascist organization, has seized power. The Leopolds are put under house arrest and removed entirely from the political realm. Haglaz is also removed from real power, being relegated to the role of "War God" in a purely religious position.
-The new fascist party immediately sets to work eradicating all opposition. The Gallic nationalists in particular, perceived as a threat to national unity, are butchered in the middle of the night. What remains of their organization is now entirely in hiding.
-The army is completely restructured. Horses are removed from command units, only now used by scouts and rangers. Warbands are rebuilt as regiments. Levies are abolished and replaced with conscription. In accordance with the Jagiellon treaty, the eastern border is left demilitarized. Ruthenia, Lithuania, and Poland have claimed that they expect it to stay that way, despite the collapse of the Commonwealth.
-Massive amounts of funding have been directed towards education, in particular military training.
-The construction industry is booming with a propaganda campaign in its favor and funding put aside for its expansion. Cities are being rapidly rebuilt, and the Empire is recovering from the war much faster than their neighbors.
Cheswick
The Council of Cheswick (Crimeariver)
Tech: Gunpowder, Steam Power, Scientific Theory, Vaccines, Rifling, Clipper Ships (70%), Printing, Electricity (90%), Rocketry (70%), Steam Aeroplanes (60%), Combustion (50%), Radio (60%), Radar (80%), Robotics (30%), Computer (20%), Modern Fleet (20%), Androids (60%)
-The worlds first aircraft carrier is built, allowing Cheswick to project its air power across the sea.
-Robotic servants, called androids, are threatening to overtake the workforce with a cheap alternative to human labor. Production is increased dramatically, but unemployment has risen as well. Unless the situation is resolved quickly, Cheswick will have hordes of welfare cases to resolve.
The Central Guild (Triangle Mare)
Tech: Steam Power, Scientific Theory, Gunpowder, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Electricity, Steam Train, Computer (50%), Radio (90%), Radar (50%), Modern Fleet (70%), Atomic Science (60%)
-Submarines, alongside other very modern ship designs, are introduces to the Guild navy.
-Students of radiation have discovered the true potential of the atom. Theories on atomic energy are being formulate, and there is a concept developing over the use of nuclear energy as a power source. This is all purely hypothetical at the moment, but many experiments have strengthened the theory.
-Several nations are offered protectorate status. Almost all refuse. The Cree, however, agree to an arrangement. Soon the region is under Cheswick control and a Guild headquarters built. Prosperity is gradually increasing for the Cree people.
New Ireland
Sons of Liberty (Snickerway)
Tech: Steam Power, Gunpowder, Ironclads, Geothermal Energy, Heat Resistant Materials (60%), Clipper Ships (30%), Scientific Theory (40%), Electricity (20%), Vaccines (50%), Rocketry (50%), Rifling (50%), Steam Aeroplanes (40%), Robotics (40%), Combustion (50%), Mech Walker
-Vaccine production capability finally makes it to New Ireland, relieving the population of their expensive reliance on foreign imports and black market drugs.
-A few minor concessions are made towards the republicans, but nothing much has come of it besides the formalization of a judicial system. The republicans have presented a new constitution, allowing the construction of a senate and chief executive office. In exchange for ratifying their suggested constitution, they will guarantee the Sons of Liberty a victory in the first election.
-Geothermal power stations, outfitted with super-heat-resistant pipes, are used to amplify the capital's defenses with a moat of lava.
-Work has completed on the development of mech walkers, for use in both military and industrial jobs.
Khorumid
Eyyik Dynasty (You Are Reading This)
Tech: Gunpowder, Steam Power, Printing, Clipper Ships (70%), Scientific Theory (70%), Electricity (80%), Vaccines (70%), Rocketry , Rifling (40%), Steam Aeroplanes, Rocket Artillery (50%), Modern Fleet (30%)
-Genghis Khan dies and is succeeded by Temür in a clean succession. The Han is declared as officially having been replaced with a new state, called Khorumid. Nobody opposes this will.
-Sarangerel's attempts to send missions into Alaskan territory is rebuffed, although he finds success within other parts of Asia.
-Persia and Russia are invaded and wholly taken over. Fearing the worst, the Ayyubids have rallied Saruhan, Georgia, and Opus together in a coalition.
-Japan is also invaded, but due to the fighting on multiple fronts the Khan's armies are ultimately defeated. The Japanese have, as a result of the great threat, begun a serious reform movement in their military, building up a larger navy and modernizing their armies.
Japan
The City of Ionia (CrowTheMagician)
Tech: Printing, Gunpowder, Steam Engine, Steam Aeroplanes, Electricity, Scientific Theory, Robotics, Vaccines (60%), Rifling (70%), Rocketry, Combustion (30%), Clipper Ships (30%), Printing (50%), Scientific Theory (30%), Rocketry (30%), Robotics (50%)
-Japanese art, combined with Ionian cultural simplicity, has developed into a new form called Manga. The popularity of these kinds of comics spread from Ionia throughout the rest of Japan.
-The city undergoes a cultural renaissance due to prosperity brought from being a part of the Japanese empire. Theaters, opera houses, art museums, and even street performers are making money easier than ever before.
-A modernization project is undertaken to hasten Ionia's scramble back to the top rank in technological development. The view of Ionia as the east's most advanced city, the pearl of the north, is gradually returning.

Hey Syndic, what does the world and my vassals/tributaries think of the Khorumid Dynasty?

I would prefer not to have to keep answering these questions, so let me sum up all international relations with NPCs with the following statements:
If you have been at war within the last turn or two, they dislike you.
If you have any non-hostile interaction ongoing right now, they like you.
In any other situation, they are neutral.
These rules apply in almost every circumstance, unless otherwise stated in the turn. Additionally, the best way to gauge an NPC's feelings is simply by interacting with them. There is no penalty for failing to establish an alliance or other agreement with an NPC, so if you have something in mind, go for it.

None are willing to start a new war so soon after the previous one has concluded.

They do not. The Tibetans only loosely affiliate themselves with China whereas the Manchu see China as a prestigious nation worth being part of. The Tibetans are an autonomous, culturally independent people in a much more isolated region.

No I am not
@Syndic,
The Imperial people must be reunited under one nation, currently they are scattered to the winds and lost.
Teutonia, Bohemia and ofcourse Austria are offered reunification into the Central Empire, their true fatherland. After being divided up and then starved by their former masters the Empire only wishes to raise them back to their former glory. With the Communist approach from the East (and beyond that Akash and Khorumid) it is obvious that the Empire must return to its full strength.and unity. Nothing will be held back, all those who reunite will become one with the state and receive full modernisation.
Hungary isn't offered reunification, instead it is guaranteed its independence
@Triangle Mare
I'm afraid the Empire no longer wishes to export its resources. We plan on stockpiling it for the future.
@Cheswick
I am completely alone in my defence against the East. Not only is their a tribe of modernised Khans heading our way but there is also the Akash…and then on top of that we have the Comintern rising to the top too.
Denmark is completely passive, so is Italy, Al-Andalus is too wary and my old ally, Hungary has been trampled. If someone doesn't actually provide support in forming a solidified Europe then we are all going to get fucked soon enough.
This is going to have to be a tagteam?

Teutonia accepts, as their region associates most closely with the Empire's culture. Bohemia declines on the grounds that they feel no loyalty to the Empire. Austria declines because they prefer their independence and have come to dislike the Cult of Haglaz.
Twisty wrote:

Morocco responds, saying that you do not need permission; nobody is barring transit through the straits.
i have a proposition for the nations of north america who want the aztecs gone (mostly tohano, navajo, shoshone, omaha, shawnee, creek and cheeroke), if they become part of the yuzco empire, we will provide their armies with proper equipment to fight the aztecs back and retake their lands, they will benefit from out technological advancements and with all of us combined into a more cooperative and organized force it will be easy to defeat them, its better to strike now that we have managed to put a stop to their forces.

Proposing to annex a nation to prevent it from being annexed by another nation is about as ridiculous as it sounds. However, they recognize that you have a point in your offer, and propose instead to form a defensive pact consisting of every Aztec neighbor, to prevent their further expansion.
The Aztecs warn that, should this pact be formed, they will revoke Yuzco's oil rights in their country. Furthermore, they propose (in secret) an alliance with Yuzco, suggesting that your intention to annex other nations aligns perfectly with their intention to do the same.
well my annexation is not forced and doesn't come with a brutal invasion and killing of their people, (also the aztecs suck and we have oil), but if they are not willing i understand and form the pact, i propose to create a building in yuzco wher the highest generals of each nation will attend, that way we can operate our forces in a more cohesive way, their armies will be given proper equipment too.
and i want to send a communicate to the aztecs that im not gonna accept their oil for a peace treaty, my ultimatum is that they give back the land they took from everyone or be forced to retreat by my gun as im not interested in annexation of my neighbors by blood.
Twisty wrote:

"How civilized of you!" The monarchs of Hanunah were unaware that a republic could have anything on its agenda higher than the barbarism of the common folk. They happily accept your invitation. The following alliance has been formed:
Trans-Hanunah Defensive Pact (Yuzco, Creek, Shawnee, Omaha, Pawnee, Shoshone, Navajo, Tohano)

The Aztecs reject your ultimatum, but note that their offer to form an axis of evil still stands.
Just as an aside, you already have accepted their oil. Wars end in a single turn and, unless you specify what you want in the peace treaty when declaring war, one will be written for you based upon what I imagine are your interests. I believed that, your territory lacking in large oil reserves, you would like Aztec's untapped oil. Currently you are at peace with the Aztecs and, should the next turn roll over without war being declared, your oil barons will move in and begin extraction in Texas.

You can do whatever you want, I am not going to stop you or impose mandatory peace timers. So, there is nothing stopping you from going to war immediately following the conclusion of peace. It might be a poor idea if it was a particularly devastating war, as you would want time to recover before attacking again, but your participation in the last war did not damage Yuzco too much.

None take you up on the offer. The Inuits in particular, having a dislike for the Cree, do not want to associate with the Guild.

By the way twisty, it's " communique" not "communicate". Sorry to be a grammar (or I guess spelling) nazi but it's been driving me crazy for the last few turns.
