Originally released in 2022, the song predominantly trended on TikTok in October 2023, manifesting in viral photo slideshows and videos that imagined running away from or avoiding Big Dick Randy on Halloween night. Overall, the song is similar to DigBar's other, parody, gay, rap song 3 Big Balls / 4 Big Guys.
Origin
On October 17th, 2023, TikToker[1] @itsdigbar posted a duet with an Open Verse Challenge, spawning the song "Big Dick Randy." The duet received roughly 125,900 plays and 15,500 likes in one year (shown below). The virality led @itsdigbar to post a second TikTok[2] which made the audio a sound, however, the video's sound was later removed by TikTok.
On October 31st, 2022, DigBar released the full version of "BIG DICK RANDY" on YouTube,[3] gaining roughly 787,200 views and 24,000 likes in one year (shown below). The song was a part of his mixtape Baroween.

Despite some usage of the song's TikTok sound[4] as early as June 2023,[5] the song's memetic usage didn't predominantly surface until October 2023, directly following a photo slideshow posted by TikToker[6] @__baconboy_ on October 1st, 2023, gaining roughly 2.6 million plays and 423,300 likes in four days (recording shown below, left).
Soon after, on October 3rd, TikToker[7] @zcxxbz added to the trend with a slideshow that referenced TikTok's CG5 not being able to "kill the meme," referencing the creator's songs about Napoleon and Smurf Cat. The photos received roughly 3.5 million plays and 488,800 likes in two days (recording shown below, right).

Going into October 2023, TikTokers transitioned away from slideshows and started posting videos with the sound, such as TikToker[8] @zigjzag on October 4th, 2023, who captioned a sped-up parkour video with a joke about running from Big Dick Randy on Halloween night, gaining roughly 684,000 plays and 111,500 likes in one day (shown below).
