Billie Eilish Beekeeper refers to American singer Billie Eilish's veiled sequined white bonnet she wore at the 47th annual American Music Awards in November 2019. Its likeness to a beekeeper's head gear sparked conversation online, most notably on Twitter.

Origin

On November 24th, 2019, the American Music Awards Twitter[1] account posted a picture of Billie Eilish on the red carpet wearing her sequined veiled bonnet (shown below). The tweet gained over 2,800 likes ad 500 retweets in two days.

On November 24th, 2019, Entertainment Tonight's Twitter account posted a red carpet interview with Billie Eilish with the caption "@billieeilish is our humble Queen at the #AMAs" (shown below). The tweet garnered over 1,700 likes and 250 retweets in two days.



That same day, many Twitter users made the comparison of Eilish to a beekeeper. Twitter user @PHlLLIE[2] tweeted "billie eilish said aha fuck dem bees they cant get me now" (shown below, left) and received over 50 likes in two days.
