Chun-Li x Yor Crossover refers to crossover fan art combining Chun Li from Street Fighter and Yor Forger from SPY x FAMILY, due to an animated short video to promote the game’s upcoming crossover with the anime series.

Origin

On December 4th, 2023, the official Street Fighter 6 YouTube^[1] channel uploaded an animated short to promote the game’s upcoming crossover with SPY x FAMILY CODE: WHITE movie. The trailer (shown below) features the character Chun-Li fighting Yor Forger, which garnered over 254,000 views and 12,000 likes in a week.

The in-game activities of the Street Fighter 6 and SPY x FAMILY collab are expected to be available on January 9th, 2024 and will, according to Dexerto^[2], "likely involve costumes for existing characters and gear for the Avatar hero used in certain modes."

Spread

After the animated short was released, there was a significant uptick in fan artwork of Chun-Li battling Yor Forger. For instance, on December 10th, 2023, X^[3] user @kittymiya_ uploaded a fan art based on the characters, reverting their signature clothes and memorable posing. The post (shown below, left) garnered more than 5,600 likes and 879 retweets in two days. On December 8th, 2023, X^[4] user @astrubal_ uploaded a similar fan art (shown below, right), which received more than 6,500 likes and 1,100 retweets in four days.
