On March 26th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @yiyecanling posted a video of an older Asian woman singing in Chinese while looking into the camera, which received over 5.7 million views and 558,600 likes in about one month.

On April 6th, 2026, the same TikTok[2] account uploaded a similar video, this time with the audio sped up. The video went viral in the following days, garnering over 55.6 million views and 6.7 million likes in about three weeks.

On April 9th, 2026, the same TikTok[3] account once again posted a video of the same elderly woman singing the sped-up version of the Chinese song, this time gaining over 24.9 million views and 2.7 million likes in less than three weeks.

The various videos featuring this particular song continued to proliferate on TikTok into mid-to-late April 2026.
On April 17th, 2026, TikTok[4] user @bigi9000 uploaded a video parodying the video while singing in Chinese, which received over 13 million views and 2.1 million likes in about 10 days.

The same day, TikTok[5] user @blyatman.67 uploaded a video of the elderly woman doing the King Nasir Dance, which received over 4.3 million views and 441,800 likes in about 10 days.

The song featured in the videos was also subject to various remixes and edits. On April 19th, 2026, TikTok[6] user @jamks.music uploaded a mashup of the Chinese song and "Feel Good Inc." by Gorillaz, which received over 3.4 million views and 462,100 likes in less than 10 days.

The next day, on April 20th, 2026, the same TikTok[7] user uploaded a mashup between the song and "Humble" by Kendrick Lamar. The video received over 6.3 million views and 950,900 likes in about one week.

On April 23rd, 2026, TikTok[8] user @jauu_sc posted a video of a Tomodachi Life character made to resemble the elderly Chinese woman, which received over 1.5 million views and 424,000 likes in four days.
