One of the earliest known posts featuring the illustration of a dinosaur zapping another scaly dinosaur appeared on the Tumblr^[1] page @thestomping-ground on February 17th, 2024, alongside a caption that read, "And now young Stegosaurus, you will die." The caption referenced Emperor Palpatine's line from Star Wars, gathering over 400 notes in a year.

The image was reposted the following day to Twitter^[2] / X by user @MetTiinA with the caption, "Vintage paleoart is a pathway to many abilities some would consider…unnatural. #coproliteposting." The post, which notably references the The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise, gathered over 14,000 views before it was deleted.
