Dipper Selfie refers to the exploitable cropped image of Gravity Falls character Dipper Pines taking a selfie. The cropped image is frequently superimposed on images showing dire situations both in the show and in other media, very similar to the Inappropriate Timing Spongebob Banner meme.

Origin

In the episode "Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future", Dipper and Ford are investigating an alien spacecraft. While inside, Dipper takes a selfie with a wall of alien markings.(Video Below)

A video titled "Dipper Takes a Selfie" was uploaded by RenoVision to YouTube on October 11, 2015, a day before the episode aired.

A transparent exploitable of the scene was first posted to Imgur on December 25, 2015 by RollingTapeProd, though the actual creator of the exploitable is unknown.

The oldest known example of the image used as an exploitable on Google Images is one of Dipper taking a selfie with Garnet from Steven Universe. However, the original Tumblr post seems to have been removed.
