The video went massively viral, receiving over 192.5 million views and 16.6 million likes in just over six months.

Around the same time, "Withered Flight," an image macro featuring a heavily distorted, horror-style edit of American YouTuber and streamer FlightReacts (Flight23White) began spreading on the platform. The image depicts Flight with an unnaturally elongated, gaunt face, wide sunken eyes and a horrified expression (part of the macro Withered meme trend).

On February 26th, 2026, TikTok^[2] user @cholochuyyposted an early edited clip featuring the FlightReacts edit, stating, "why this kinda scary." The video received over 80,400 views and 3,070 likes in three months.
