Enslaved Moisture, also known as Ah Yes, Enslaved, refers to a surreal meme slang term for bottled water. It is used in an image macro featuring Meme Man looking at a water bottle and has been used as a reaction image and exploitable.

Origin

On April 2nd, 2019, Redditor necro-dog[1] posted an image of Meme Man looking a water bottle, captioned "Ah yes, enslaved moisture." The image gained over 2,500 points (shown below).

Spread

Over the following weeks, the image began appearing elsewhere on social media. On April 3rd, it was posted to Facebook page Meme Supreme,[2] gaining over 1,100 reactions. It appeared in Memes_of_the_dank[3] on May 12th, where it gained over 1,200 points. Variations began appearing on various subreddits in the months after the original post. On June 20th, Redditor YeetYoot420[4] posted a Why Is Millennial Humor So Weird meme with the image in /r/HydroHomies, gaining over 16,000 points (shown below, left). On July 23rd, Redditor Abruptsystem[5] posted a Bill Gates meme using the image, gaining over 65,000 points (shown below, right).

Other users began using the image as an exploitable, calling other regular objects "enslaved X." For example, user rubens10000[6] posted an example calling honey "enslaved flower sperm," gaining over 24,000 points (shown below, left). User economics-simulator posted a version with "enslaved children," gaining over 6,200 points (shown below, right).
