Overview
King Charles' Cancer Diagnosis refers to a February 2024 announcement from Buckingham Palace that the King of England, King Charles III, had been diagnosed with cancer. Memes and reactions to the announcement surfaced across social media platforms like Twitter / X and elsewhere over the following days, which mostly imagined the King's death. Memes made about King Charles' diagnosis were similar to those made about Queen Elizabeth II's death. Also, many made memes about King Charles' cancer and joked about him being reincarnated as YouTuber Trisha Paytas' baby akin to the Queen Elizabeth Reincarnated As Trisha Paytas' Baby meme.

The news also spread on TikTok, evident in a video posted by TikToker[3] @alainanoelleo on February 5th, 2024, who joked about King Charles being reincarnated as YouTuber Trisha Paytas' baby, receiving roughly 6,600 plays and 1,000 likes in an hour (screenshot shown below, left).
Users on X made similar jokes, like X[4] user @Love_Aston_ on February 5th, 2024, who claimed, "The devil works hard but Trisha Paytas works harder," gaining over 3,400 likes in an hour (shown below, right).
The reincarnation idea was fueled by Trisha Paytas' November 2023 pregnancy announcement.[6]
