MistaFuccYou Meme Coin Suicide refers to the alleged livestream suicide of cryptocurrency and meme coin trader Arnold Haro, known online as MistaFuccYou, in a game of Russian roulette. Background

On February 21st, 2025, 23-year-old cryptocurrency trader Arnold Robert Haro, known on X[1] by his alias @MistaFuccYou, started a livestream, announcing that he would be playing a game of Russian roulette and asking his viewers that in the event that he dies, they make it into a meme coin and send it to his Solana address.

Haro then proceeded to load one bullet into a revolver and spin the chamber several times, commenting that he didn't know where the bullet was. After repeating his wish, he placed the revolver to his head, closed his eyes and fired three times. The gun dry-fired the first two times before firing on the third. Haro is briefly seen falling to the floor as blood appears to begin sprouting from his head before the camera fades to black. The livestream continued for over an hour, with Haro continuing to make gurgling sounds for approximately 20 minutes before all sounds stopped.

In original livestream was removed from X / Twitter in the following hours (screenshot of the original post prior to removal shown below). Word of the incident notably began receiving press coverage in the following days.[13]

Online Reactions

In the hours following the livestream in late February 2025, several meme coins based on Haro's alias and likeness were launched[3] on Pump.fun (example shown below).

Three hours after the livestream, on February 21st, 2025, X[4] user @destroynectar made a post about Haro's suicide, sharing a screenshot of his post and a meme coin launched on Pump.fun, commenting, "The meme coin community is pure evil." The post (shown below) received over 270,000 views and 840 likes in three days.

On February 22nd, Binance[2] user Cryptopolitan reported on Haro's death, writing that prior to the livestream, Haro lost his last $500 in a rug pull. The post also added that the creator of the coin sent 70 percent of its supply to MistaFuccYou's wallet.[5]

On February 22nd, 2025, commentator Dom Lucre reported on Haro's suicide, sharing a censored version from the stream (screenshot shown below). The post garnered over 560 reposts and 3,300 likes on X[6] in two days.

Later on February 22nd, Maria Lucero Haro started a GoFundMe[7] page to gather funds for funeral expenses, shared by friends and relatives of Haro on Facebook.[8][9] As of February 24th, the GoFundMe campaign gathered $24,300 of its $50,000 goal.

In the following days, multiple posts about Haro's livestream went viral on X[10][11] / Twitter and other social media as the news spread online.

On February 22nd, 2025, X[12] user shared a previously viral clip of a man making a spin while projectile vomiting, identifying the man as Arnold Haro (video shown below). The post received over 12.5 million views, 480 reposts and 5,900 likes in two days.
