About

Fruity Pebbles is a slang term referring to the sexual relationship between Demi Engemann from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and her husband Bret Engemann. In the first season of the reality TV show, cast member Whitney Leavitt pranked Engemann by giving her a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal, explaining that it's an inside joke pertaining to her sex life, but neither elaborated on the meaning of the term.

In November 2025, Engemann feuded online with cast member Jessi Draper and, at one point, Draper revealed that Fruity Pebbles referred to a time when Bret Engemann drank Demi's urine like a "dirty soda." The reveal inspired memes and reactions online. Engemann responded by confirming the meaning of the term, claiming it only happened once and calling out Draper for sharing the information, which she told her in confidence.

Origin

During the first season of the reality TV series The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, based on the Utah Momtok group, cast member Whitney Leavitt pranks Demi Engemann by gifting her a box of Fruity Pebbles cereal. It is explained that this is an inside joke pertaining to something sexual that Demi and her husband once did, but it is not elaborated on. Whitney, at one point, recreates the act for the cameras.

Demi told Us Magazine[1] in September 2024 that she and Bret were keeping the meaning of the term a secret and that "if people slowly start to figure it out, then maybe we’ll talk about it."

In late November 2025, Engemann and another cast member, Jessi Draper, began feuding online. This is reportedly, in part, because of behind-the-scenes drama relating to contract negotiations and drama relating to Draper having an affair with a cast member on Vanderpump Villa.[2]

On November 25th, Draper posted a Story on Instagram Reels revealing that "Fruity Pebbles" means that Bret Engemann likes to "drink Demi's piss like a dirty soda." The video was reuploaded by TikToker[3] @aubreydaly that day, garnering over 320,000 views in a day.

Demi Confirms "Fruity Pebbles" Meaning

On November 25th, 2025, after Draper revealed what Fruity Pebbles meant, Engemann posted a response on her Instagram Story.[4][5] The statement confirms the claim and reads:

What my husband and I did one-time behind closed doors, was a consensual and private experience in our marriage. I won't let a private act between my husband and I be a distraction from a serious act that I did not consent to.

I shared this information with Jessi in confidence nearly two years ago. It's very telling that she's choosing to break storyline and bring it up now, only after her own affair has come to light. This is nothing more than a desperate attempt to shift attention away from her own behavior.
