Hatsune Miku Creepy Redraws refers to a 2024 art trend on Twitter / X consisting of Hatsune Miku redraws that showed her as scary characters from various creepypastas, horror games and horror movies, among other subcultures. The trend notably started with an Ao Oni version of Miku.
Origin
On January 23rd, 2024, X[1] user @LOBOTOLOID shared a PaintTool SAI screenshot from their computer showing four redraws of Hatsune Miku as creepypasta and horror game characters, including Ahenobarbus Henocied, Slender Man, Jeff the Killer and Ao Oni from Ao Oni. The tweet received roughly 127,000 likes in six days (shown below).

After the tweet went viral, artists on X started to make their own Hatsune Miku redraws with creepypasta and horror characters. For instance, the first known variant was shared by X[2] user @bichofolgado on January 24th, 2024, who made a different Ahenobarbus Henocied version, gaining roughly 5,600 likes in five days (shown below, left).
On January 25th, more added to the trend, such as X[3] user @Usercauseyesidk who made a Smile Dog version, gaining roughly 8,500 likes in four days (shown below, right).
In the following days, the redraws became increasingly elaborate and viral, evident in a piece shared by X[4] user @Moskaru_ on January 27th, 2024, that was rendition of Junji Ito's character Azami Kurotani in Uzumaki, gaining roughly 34,000 likes in two days (shown below, left).
On January 28th, X[5] user @OKmoully shared a Valve version of Miku, gaining roughly 63,000 likes in a day (shown below, right).
During the same timeframe, the art trend spread outside of Twitter / X, as evident in art shared on Tumblr. For instance, on January 26th, 2024, Tumblr[6] user cubito01 shared a Jeff the Killer version of Hatsune Miku, gaining over 330 notes in three days (shown below, left).
Also on January 24th, Tumblr[7] user mmurkoff shared a Blank Room Soup version, gaining over 55 notes in three days (shown below, right).
