About
Hollywood Is Done For, sometimes called AI-Generated Hollywood, refers to discussions and memes about a series of viral AI-generated videos meant to replicate and replace Hollywood movies and scenes. The videos were shared by AI enthusiasts on Twitter with the belief that artificial intelligence had progressed enough to threaten the Hollywood film industry, and the posts received mixed reactions from people who supported the belief and from people who did not think the footage was remarkable. Two videos that went viral in April and May 2023 include an AI-remake of The Great Gatsby and an AI-made video featuring Star Wars characters depicted in the style of director Wes Anderson.
