About

I Didn't Do Fucking Shit! I'm Not Worried About It! refers to an exploitable video template that uses a greenscreen clip from the sketch comedy series I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson in which Robinson is screaming at the camera, saying, "I didn't do fucking shit! I didn't fucking do this! I'm not worried about it! I'm not worried about any of this! I'm done! Do what you want!" A CapCut template that used the scene became prominent on TikTok in early 2023, resulting in memes that posed scenarios in which Robinson's aggressive denial made sense. The original sketch is called "Save Corncob TV" (also known as "Coffin Flop") from season 2 of the Netflix show.

Origin

On July 6th, 2021, season 2, episode 1 of Netflix's sketch comedy show I Think You Should Leave titled "They said that to me at a dinner," premiered in America.[1] One of the episode's sketches was called "Save Corncob TV" and was about a failing TV network and its popular, yet controversial hit show "Coffin Flop." In the sketch, Tim Robinson's character spouts multiple aggressively-stated taglines that occur at separate moments, starting with him saying, "I didn't do fucking shit!" at the 1:08-minute mark (YouTube[2] clip shown below).

Robinson: I didn't do fucking shit! …I didn't fucking do this! …I'm not worried about it! I'm not worried about any of this! …I'm done! Do what you want!

On July 14th, 2021, Netflix's Twitter [3] account tweeted the "Save Corncob TV" sketch, earning roughly 414,500 views and 7,000 likes in two years. News outlet Vulture[4] also published an article about the sketch in July 2021.

Starting in early 2023, Robinson's taglines from the sketch were compiled into a greenscreen meme template on TikTok. The trend started with a video posted on February 10th, 2023 by TikToker[5] @seabusmemesofficial which received roughly 662,600 plays and 82,400 likes in one month (shown below).

Spread

After the aforementioned TikTok was uploaded, meme creators on the platform started using the video editing app CapCut to remove the background of the I Think You Should Leave sketch and make their own memes using it. For instance, on March 8th, 2023, TikTok[6] user @sm00thlikesinatra posted an iteration about giving the family computer a virus, earning roughly 194,300 likes in six days (shown below, left). On March 9th, 2023, TikToker[7] @theandyman35 posted an iteration about being an EMS and talking to an overdose patient the morning after, earning roughly 974,300 plays and 137,300 likes in five days (shown below, right).
