The claim garnered viral spread as an image macro, including a repost by X^[2] user @Pinko69420 on April 20th, garnering over 30,000 likes in six months.

On April 21st, X^[3] user @holephobe quote-reposted @Pinko69420's post, writing, "RELEASE THE BUSH CUT," along with a comic in which someone gets tomatoes thrown at them by men wearing shirts reading "pubes lover" and "I <3 rainforest pussy" for claiming they have an "erotic shaving kink," garnering over 27,000 likes in six months.

The "jungle pussy" shirt inspired numerous memes over the following months, while some online stores^[4] began selling shirts reading "I <3 rainforest pussy." On June 29th, 2024, X^[5] user @kamkisktch posted artwork of a man wearing the shirt and holding his girlfriend's shoulder, who is wearing a shirt reading, "I shaved," much to the man's detriment, garnering over 223,000 likes in four months.

The post inspired numerous redraws over the following days, both as quote-reposts and in the comments section. One viral example was posted by X^[6] user @Spacechannel90 on July 2nd, garnering over 12,000 likes in three months. On July 3rd, a redraw was posted to the subreddit /r/FearAndHunger^[7] that garnered over 2,000 upvotes in the same span of time.

On July 4th, 2024, X^[8] user @soda_mikk posted a piece of Hazbin Hotel artwork shipping Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious, garnering over 20,000 likes in three months.
