In Order To Be Born Copypasta or Ancestral Mathematics is a copypasta about how many ancestors a modern person needed to be born today. The copypasta originated from a 2019 post by Lyrical Zen and became increasingly popularized in 2022 after an extra line was added to the end reading, "and you want to be a femboy slut."
Origin
On August 12th, 2019, Lyrical Zen[1] published an article titled "Ancestral Mathematics" detailing how many ancestors a modern-day person needs in order to be born today. They provided a text graphic to demonstrate this (shown below). The infographic was posted to the Red Rising Magazine Facebook[2] page on August 20th, 2020, garnering over 3,200 shares in two years.
On July 27th, 2022, TikToker[3] @colin.reich23 posted a video where he copy-pastes the phrase over footage of him sitting, garnering over 500,000 views in a month (shown below).

On August 2nd, iFunny[4] user monstergirls_galore posted a screenshot from Discord of a user copy-pasting the text with an additional line at the end reading, "and you want to be a femboy slut," garnering over 300 smiles in a month (shown below).
In order to be born, you needed: 2 parents, 4 grandparents, 8 great-grandparents, 16 second great-grandparents, 32 third great-grandparents, 64 fourth great-grandparents, 128 fifth great-grandparents, 256 sixth great-grandparents, 512 seventh great-grandparents, 1,024 eighth great-grandparents, 2,048 ninth great-grandparents For you to be born today from 12 previous generations, you needed a total sum of 4,094 ancestors over the last 400 years. Think for a moment – How many struggles? How many battles? How many difficulties? How much sadness? How much happiness? How many love stories? How many expressions of hope for the future? – did your ancestors have to undergo for you to exist in this present moment and you want to be a femboy slut.

On August 11th, 2022, another iFunny[5] user posted a voice-over version of the meme. On August 16th, it was then posted to the /r/HolUp[6] subreddit, garnering over 21,900 upvotes in two weeks. On August 17th, the meme was posted to /r/discord_irl,[7] garnering over 1,800 upvotes in two weeks. On August 18th, it was posted by Twitter[8] gimmick account @Discorrdpain, garnering over 40,000 likes in a similar timeframe. On August 19th, it was then added to /r/copypasta,[9] garnering over 50 upvotes in three weeks. On August 29th, YouTuber Vanegood posted a voice-over version of the copypasta, garnering over 185,000 views in two days (shown below).
