Jeb Screams "Nooo" refers to a clip from the October 2021 Minecraft mob vote introduction video where an animated sprite of Jeb Bergensten, known as Tiny Jeb, screams an extended "no" after Lady Agnes falls down a hole. The isolated clip of Jeb screaming became a viral exploitable in video edits that month as people changed the context around the scene.

Origin

On October 10th, 2021, the Minecraft YouTube[1] channel posted a video (shown below) announcing an October 16th livestream during which they announced three new potential mobs for the game that players can vote on to decide what gets added. The video is animated and in a pixel-art style, featuring sprites of Minecraft employees Jeb Bergensten, Agnes Larsson and Vu Bui. In the video, Jeb gets a call from Vu, who is about to announce the three new mobs when Agnes falls off the earth. Jeb hangs up on Vu and then neals down and screams "no!" for his fallen friend. The video gained over 3.9 million views in five days.



On October 13th, YouTuber[2] Phoenix SC uploaded a video where they replace the death noise in Minecraft with Jeb's scream, gaining over 1.1 million views in two days (shown below).

New edits of the video emerged over the following days, often replacing Jeb's scream with another sound effect or altering the scene around Jeb. For example, on October 13th, 2021, YouTuber[3] Avric uploaded a video replacing the scream with the start of "Gangsta's Paradise," gaining over 712,000 views in two days (shown below, left). On October 14th, YouTuber[4] Felb posted a DaBaby edit of the clip, gaining over 30,000 views in a day (shown below, right).



On October 15th, YouTuber[5] Lessons In Meme Culture posted a video about the meme, gaining over 131,000 views in under 24 hours (shown below).
