Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond Laughing In the Wind or Two Men Laughing In the Wind is an exploitable video clip of Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond from the TV series The Grand Tour laughing while standing in the wind. The clip comes from season two episode 11 and first became the subject of memes on TikTok in March 2023. The video is often used alongside captions about laughing hysterically with a friend and is prevalent both on its own and as a green-screen template.
Origin
On February 16th, 2018, season two episode 11 of The Grand Tour aired. During the episode, the hosts fill an aquarium situated in the back of a car in order to transport live fish. With the aquarium filled, James May attempts to drive forward but gets stuck, resulting in water from the tank pouring over him. Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond laugh at the sight. The clip was uploaded to YouTube[1] on March 29th, 2021, garnering over 1.1 million views in two years (shown below).
The earliest known meme to use the clip was posted by TikToker[2] @kimi19888 on March 27th, 2023, garnering over 230,000 views in five months (shown below).
