Marvel Rivals Porn or Marvel Rivals Rule 34 refers to 3D pornography and other NSFW imagery created using character models from the 2024 hero shooter video game Marvel Rivals. At the time of the game's release in December 2024, the anticipated and hyped-up arrival of such content became a prevalent subject of jokes and memes on social media, with early 3D animations using a model of the character Squirrel Girl arriving within days of the video game's release. The trend has been compared to and generally considered inspired by 3D pornography based on models from the 2015 hero shooter game Overwatch.

Origin

On December 6th, 2024, the hero shooter video game Marvel Rivals was released. On release, the game featured 33 playable characters from Marvel Comics, including various female characters including Psylocke, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Squirrel Girl, Luna Snow and others (release trailer shown below).^[1]

Following the reveal of Squirrel Girl as a playable character in late November 2024, users on social media started making posts predicting that the game's character models will end up being used in 3D pornography akin to character models from Overwatch. For example, on December 3rd, 2024, X^[2] user @DomainDead made a post in which they argued that Marvel Rivals will replace Overwatch in the niche, gaining over 280 likes in six days (shown below).

On December 5th, 2024, X^[3] user @snacks_fruity2 posted a Don't Worry. I Promise You That I Won't meme requesting modders to rip the models, with the post (shown below) garnering over 3,300 reposts and 65,000 likes in four days (shown below).

More jokes and memes referencing anticipation of NSFW Marvel Rivals 3D animations went viral in the following days. For example, on December 6th, X^[4] user @Mlickles wrote, "It's people on here hyping up the eventual marvel rivals SFM like it's an album release." The post (shown below) received over 1,000 reposts and 28,000 likes in three days.

On December 7th, 2024, X^[5] user @JackCeck reported ripping a large number of Marvel Rivals character models, including Psylocke, Squirrel Girl and Galacta. The post (shown below) received over 5,200 reposts and 52,000 likes in two days.

On December 8th and 9th, some of the earliest pornographic 3D renders and animations based on Marvel Rivals character models were shared, including artworks by @fugtrup,^[6] @Apone3D^[7] and @TheMadCommander.^[8]
