On June 5th, 2021, YouTuber^[2] Luke Is a beast reposted the song on his channel, where it received over 2.3 million views within a year. This increase in engagement was inspired by its use as a sound on TikTok in mid-2021. For instance, on June 12th, 2021, TikToker^[3] monkey_gang_boy posted a video of monkeys and used the song as the audio, earning roughly 30,200 plays and 1,300 likes in one year (shown below, left). On June 28th, 2021, TikToker^[4] stay_.madlmao used the song for the CGI Monkeys Dancing video, earning roughly 156,900 plays and 6,300 likes in one year (shown below, right).

On April 21st, 2022, TikToker^[5] .mymonkee posted a video of him throwing his squishy, toy monkey onto the ground where it stuck, earning roughly 22.7 million plays and 2.7 million likes in two months (shown below, left). On May 24th, 2022, TikToker^[6] im.jaron posted a video of his dad eating a taco with a 3D GoPro angle, earning roughly 15.7 million plays and 3.3 million likes over the course of one week (shown below, right).
