Outcast is a fake album by Tyler, The Creator purported to have been recorded siomewhere around the time of his albums Goblin and Bastard. The album, which features a purple-tinted photo of a child with the word "Outcast" covering his eyes, was created by Redditor u/Numerous_Quail_5718 in November 2024 and posted to the /r/TylerTheCreator subreddit, inspiring further memes that attempt to gaslight and troll members of the subreddit into believing it exists. As more memes were posted, the imagined details of the album were expanded on, including its tracklist, which includes songs like "Old / Dusty" and "Mr. Jackson." The meme is similar to other gaslighting memes like Graggle Simpson.

On November 11th, 2024, Redditor u/Numerous_Quail_5718 made a post to the /r/TylerTheCreator^[1] subreddit consisting of a meme assigning Tyler, The Creator's albums to various categories. In the "Overlooked masterpiece" category is an album with a purple cover reminiscent of the style of albums like Goblin and Bastard titled Outcast. Tyler, The Creator does not have an album titled Outcast. The post gained over 2,500 upvotes in a day.

Commenters were quick to point out Outcast, wondering what it is, if it exists and how they can listen to it.

Spread

The post inspired further memes about Outcast on /r/TylerTheCreator. On November 12th, u/elitepringle made a post to /r/tylerthecreator^[2] asking for users' favorite songs from the album, garnering over 200 upvotes in under a day. Later that day, u/loneltmemer posted a meme to the subreddit^[3] titled "Enough time has passed🗣" in which they rank Outcast over numerous other albums, garnering over 400 upvotes in under a day.

That same day, u/nmornamie posted a photoshop to the subreddit^[4] consisting of all of Anthony Fantano's ratings of Tyler albums, including a "strong 6" rating for Outcast, garnering over 600 upvotes in under a day.
