David Laid is an Estonian-American bodybuilder, fitness model and social media personality who became known for his body transformation content back in 2016 on YouTube. His abrupt physique growth generated some buzz about steroids on TikTok, Twitter (X) and Instagram.

Online History

David Laid is a 29-year-old Estonian-American bodybuilder who first gained fame in 2013 when he posted a video of himself showing his body transformation from 14 to 15 years old on his YouTube[1] channel. The video (shown below, left), uploaded on December 22nd, 2013, received over 4 million views and 51,000 likes in a decade. The video that got the creator famous, however, was uploaded on August 15th, 2015, in which he shows[2] his natural transformation in 3 years of workout (shown below, right), amassing more than 51 million views and 683,000 likes in eight years.

As a result of his transformation videos, he has become an inspiration to numerous individuals and has built up a large fan base on the internet. For example, on December 5th, 2021, Laid reacted to some "Thirst Tweets"[3] about him (shown below, left), which garnered more than 636,000 views and 26,000 likes in two years. On October 27th, 2022, YouTube[4] user @actxce9220 posted a fan edit showing the bodybuilder's transformation (shown below, right), which amassed over 124,000 views and 8,600 likes in a year.



David Laid Is Fake Natty or Natty?

David's impressive body transformation attracted some criticism online, with some people questioning his health methods alleging he used supplements and steroids. On May 4th, 2022, Laid addressed the steroid allegations in a YouTube [5]interview for the channel @MattDoesFitness[5], saying that he grew his body naturally. The video (shown below) received more than 321,000 views and 10,000 likes in a year.

By October 6th, 2023, David Laid had accumulated over 4 million followers on Instagram[6], 1 million followers on YouTube[7] and 123,000 followers on TIkTok[8].
