Jacob Jones, also known as jacobfuckingjones or fukjacobfuknjones, is a 21-year-old, American YouTuber, TikToker and vlogger most known for his love of smoking cigarettes and cigarette reviews. Jones started posting content to YouTube on his channel jacobfuckingjones as early as 2014, however, he didn't start posting vlog content about tobacco products until 2019. Soon after, he launched his TikTok presence on his account @fukjacobfuknjones. Jones gained a cult following going into 2023, specifically going viral for a YouTube video of his called "Day Drinking and Smoking Cigarettes in a Public Park at 2pm" which gained usage as an image macro when its thumbnail was screenshotted and shared on X and elsewhere.

Jacob Jones is 21 years old and is based in Garner, North Carolina.^[1][2] He started posting content to YouTube in 2014, with his first YouTube^[3] video uploaded on December 5th, 2014. On September 29th, 2017, Jones posted his first photo to Instagram.^[4] On May 20th, 2019, Jones posted video to YouTube^[5] that featured him smoking for the first time. Titled "HOW TO BE A GAS STATION CLERK (TIPS+TRICKS)," the 15-second-long video gained roughly 26,000 views and 455 likes in four years (shown below).

On November 9th, 2020, Jones posted a YouTube^[9] video called "HOW TO SMOKE A CIGARETTE (FULL TUTORIAL)" which was his first to reach over a million views, gaining roughly 1.2 million views and 27,000 likes in three years (shown below, left). On April 25th, 2021, Jones posted a YouTube^[10] video that celebrated reaching over 20,000 subscribers called "Smoking a Cigar for the First Time" which received roughly 1.2 million views and 27,000 likes in two years (shown below, right).

TikTok

Jacob Jones posted his first still-accessible TikTok^[6] video on January 6th, 2021, gaining roughly 6,700 plays in two years. He first achieved virality with a TikTok^[7] he uploaded on March 8th, 2021, which received roughly 368,300 plays and 48,900 likes in two years (shown below, left). His first TikTok^[8] to reach over a million plays was posted a year later, on April 6th, 2022, gaining roughly 1.5 million plays and 108,900 likes in a year (shown below, right).

By late 2022, Jacob Jones started to gain viral duets and stitches that other TikTokers would post with his videos. For instance, on December 9th, 2022, TikToker^[11] @cadenfrev posted a duet, posing a POV scenario, gaining roughly 1.9 million plays and 229,100 likes in nine months (shown below, left). On January 1st, 2023, TikToker^[12] @itsdzlofficial posted a stitch in which he called Jones "real life Sanji" (as in the One Piece character), gaining roughly 82,800 plays and 10,400 likes in eight months (shown below, right).

In 2023, Jacob Jones started posting memes of himself to Instagram^[13][14] and TikTok^[15] via photo slideshows. In the bios of some of the Instagram^[14] posts, he alleged that some were fan-made (examples shown below).

On July 18th, 2023, Jones posted a video to YouTube^[16] called "Day Drinking and Smoking Cigarettes in a Public Park at 2pm" which gained roughly 252,200 views and 16,000 likes in one month (shown below).

On July 22nd, 2023, Instagram^[17] user @thetripkeeper posted a screenshot of their YouTube feed with a video called "The Downright Horror of Alcoholism" placed above Jones' video, gaining roughly 1,100 likes in one month (shown below, left). On July 29th, X^[18] user @davidefinitely posted a screenshot of Jones' thumbnail, writing, "can i say something," gaining roughly 44,200 likes in a month (shown below, right).

Going into August 2023, the screenshot of Jones' thumbnail gained increased viral usage on X^[19] and elsewhere, such as on Tumblr.^[20]
