Philip Onbread's [Month] First Videos are a series of animated videos by SFM animator Philip OnBread (also known as StarHedgehog7),[1] which are often spread on the first of each month. The videos usually involve YTPMVs of the Medic from Team Fortress 2 singing to Touhou music.
Origin
OnBread's first video was posted on October 1st, 2011 (shown below), and has since reached over 900,000 views.[2] It uses a YTPMV of the Touhou song "Because Princess Inada is Scolding Me".
Spread
Philip would go on to make videos for other months. The next video would be posted on December 1st, 2011, which has over 500,000 views (shown below, left).[3] It uses the Touhou song "Native Faith". The next video was released on February 1st, 2012, which has over 400,000 views and uses the Touhou song "Crystallized Silver" (shown below, right).[4]
His most popular "[month]" first video was posted on September 1st, 2013, using the Touhou song "Adventure of a Lovestruck Tomboy". The video (shown below) has over 7 million views.[5]
Other Creators
Other YTPMV artists eventually followed up with their own versions of the videos. On March 1st, 2021, YouTube and SFM animator SilentManJoe would post his own version of the meme using the Touhou song "Flowering Night". The video (shown below), has over 190,000 views.[6]
