Pulling Up to LA or Pulled Up to the Los Angeles Riots is a catchphrase and phrasal template used in a series of memes in which videos of people cosplaying as various characters are attached to captions about them pulling up to the 2025 Los Angeles ICE protests as if they've arrived to help the cause. The meme was popularized on TikTok in mid-June 2025 and is inspired by the 2023 Batman Pulled Up to France memes, which followed a similar format but in reference to the Nahel Merzouk France Protests.

Origin

On June 9th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @insercash posted a video of a Darth Vader cosplayer walking down a hallway, captioned, "Darth Vader pulling up to the Los Angeles Riots," garnering over 2.3 million views in three days. The meme is a reference to the 2023 "Batman pulled up to France" meme, which followed the same format but in reference to the Nahel Merzouk protests.

The meme went viral over the following days as TikTokers posted videos of other cosplayers and characters under captions about them pulling up to the LA protests.

For example, on June 10th, 2025, TikToker^[2] @jtb3821 posted a video of a person on a glider, captioned, "Hell nah Green Goblin just pulled up to the LA riots," garnering over 2.6 million views in two days.

Later that day, TikToker^[3] @luck_kkkkkkk posted a video of someone dressed as Goku from Dragon Ball riding down the street on a DIY Nimbus Cloud, captioned, "Goku pulling up to the Los Angeles Riots," garnering over 2.8 million views in two days.
