On August 27th, Redditor u/spedoree posted a screenshot to /r/comedyheaven[2] of a comment left on the video by user George Harris SR reading, "Hi," as if the user took the title of the video literally, garnering over 78,000 upvotes in five years (shown below).

The meme gained viral spread over the following years, inspiring further memes. On July 7th, 2020, u/milk_connoisseur23 posted a meme to /r/memes[3] attaching a reaction image to the original screenshot, garnering over 28,000 upvotes in four years. On December 2nd, 2021, the original meme was reposted to /r/technicallythetruth,[4] garnering over 250 upvotes in three years.
