About

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Aura refers to an idea among NBA fans that Oklahoma City Thunder player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) has Aura and is Aura Farming. The belief originally stems from SGA's fashion and demeanor off the court as he ascended to a top player in the league by 2025. Throughout the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons, clips from post-game interviews with him and his teammates in the background went viral online, in which they played into SGA's Aura by hyping him up. Notable clips include Jaylin Williams and Jalen Williams reacting to SGA saying, "My whole life is consistent," and another of Jaylin Williams putting his hand over his mouth after SGA says, "Yo, shut up, shut up," to another teammate. As the team played into the perception and more clips surfaced on social media sites like TikTok, Reddit and Twitter / X, some internet users expressed that SGA's Aura was being forced and turning cringe. These critical posts often used the aforementioned clips ironically, likening SGA's teammates to the slang term "glazing."
