She Sent Me Her Location Bruh TF Is This, also known as She Sent Me Her Location or She Sent Me Her Location WTF Is This, refers to a catchphrase used in an image macro series that labels a humorous setting as the location that a girl sent the meme creator. The meme started on Instagram in 2022. It spread to Twitter / X and TikTok going into 2023. It later became a TikTok slideshow trend in 2024, paired with the song "Mass Anasthesia" by Mediavolo.
Origin
On August 25th, 2022, X[1] user @allbertonedu posted a meme showing a haunted castle with text reading, "she sent me her location bruh tf is this," gaining over 5,500 likes in two years (shown below).
The meme has a watermark in the top right corner that reads "@hollowcloth" who was a then-active Instagram user responsible for multiple memes like Stick Figure Violence and Imagine Getting Sloppy Here, among many others. @hollowcloth's Instagram account has since been deleted.
Spread
The meme was also reposted across Instagram[2] in August 2022. Soon after, format variations surfaced, like one meme posted by Instagram[3] user @sunofmaat93 on December 7th, 2022, gaining 91 likes in two years (shown below, left).
In 2023, more viral iterations surfaced, like a post shared by Instagram[4] user @ineedgodineverymomentofmylife on April 18th, 2023, earning over 4,900 likes in 10 months (shown below, right).
On April 21st, 2023, Instagram[5] user @purecoremetal shared an iteration that received over 146,100 likes in 10 months (shown below, left). In late 2023, viral iterations surfaced elsewhere, like a post shared by X[6] user @kidpoxy on September 5th, 2023, gaining over 12,000 likes in five months (shown below, right).
TikTok Slideshows
On February 16th, 2024, multiple TikTokers posted photo slideshows that included iterations of the meme. One of the most viral was shared by TikToker[7] @kaevyie who added images from Gacha Life, gaining over 1.5 million plays and 338,900 likes in three days (primary photo shown below, left).
Another viral slideshow posted on February 16th, 2024, was shared by TikToker[8] @cherrycoure, showing settings from the anime series Haikyu!! receiving over 321,900 likes in three days (primary photo shown below, right).
Both aforementioned slideshows used a TikTok sound[9] which was the song "Mass Anasthesia" by Mediavolo. More viral slideshows a part of the trend surfaced on TikTok[10][11] going into February 2024.
