Shooting Pool Through Man's Legs or Lining Up Billiards Shot On Butt is a series of memes based around a photograph of a guy lining up a shot in a game of pool by using an upside-down man's butt as a billiard cue bridge. The image started circulating on social media in March 2024 and became the subject of memes over the following months, including image macros and redraws.
Origin
On March 14th, 2024, the Instagram[1] page muthapuaka posted a photo of a man lining up a shot in a game of pool using another person's butt as a bridge, garnering over 1,200 likes in two months (shown below). Although this is the earliest known account to post the image, it is unclear if this is the origin of the photograph.
Spread
The image became the subject of memes over the following weeks. On March 19th, 2024, X[2] user @gomooink posted a redraw of the image depicting Peter B. Parker shooting pool through Miguel O'Hara's butt, garnering over 2,000 likes in two months (shown below, left).
On May 19th, X[3] user @krunnnnnch posted a redraw referencing Animal Crossing characters that gained over 4,000 likes in roughly 10 days (shown below, right).
On May 22nd, 2024, X[4] user @pyrameadhead posted the image, writing, "When I say 'team work makes the dream work,' I mean this," garnering over 3,800 likes in a week (shown below). On May 23rd, the image was reposted to the subreddit /r/blursedimages,[5] garnering over 400 upvotes in five days.
