SpongeBob Falling From a Plane also known as This Looks Neat, I Wonder- refers to a clip of SpongeBob from SpongeBob SquarePants walking out of a flying plane and plummeting. The clip became a popular source of remixes on YouTube, as users altered SpongeBob's screams.

Origin

On January 17th, 2000, the SpongeBob SquarePants season 1 episode 15a titled "Sleepy Time" premiered in the US.[1] In the episode, SpongeBob visits Sandy's dream and without realizing where he is, walks out of a plane, plummeting to the earth (scene shown below).

The clip began seeing use in remixes starting in the early 2020s. For example, on December 11th, 2021, YouTube[2] user sm4vix uploaded an edit of the clip that received more than 85,000 views in two years (shown below, left). On January 15th, 2023, YouTube[3] user AreaEightyNine uploaded an edit that received more than 96,000 views in one year (shown below, right).

On May 27th, 2023, YouTube[4] user Kenston productions uploaded an edit that received more than 116,000 views in eight months (shown below, left). On September 6th, 2023, YouTube[5] user KingSpartaX37 uploaded an edit that received more than 98,000 views in four months (shown below, right).
