Among Us Girl or Amogus Girl is a series of webcomics by artist Mimiyori about a girl who is obsessed with the video game Among Us to the point where it affects most aspects of her everyday life. The first comic was posted to @_mimiyori's Twitter account in January 2022. The character and comic have inspired a variety of fan art and content since its debut.

Origin

On January 15th, 2022, Twitter^[1] user and webcomic artist @_mimiyori (Mimiyori) posted the first issue of "Among Us Girl," writing in the description, "amogus girl" (shown below). In the comic, Among Us Girl goes to an Among Us convention and gets her picture taken with a large crewmate. The post gained over 42,900 likes and 6,700 retweets in two months.

Spread

On January 16th, 2022, Mimiyori published "Among Us Girl #2" on Twitter,^[2] gaining over 32,000 likes in two months (shown below, left). On January 17th she posted "Among Us Girl #3" to Twitter,^[3] gaining over 15,700 likes in a comparable span of time (shown below, right).

On January 18th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #4" to Twitter,^[4] gaining over 41,600 likes and 6,000 retweets in two months (shown below). The comic introduces Among Us Girl's rival, Fall Guys Girl, a rabid fan of the video game Fall Guys.

On January 19th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #5" to Twitter,^[5] gaining over 17,000 likes in two months, followed by Among Us Girl #6 to Twitter^[6] on January 20th, gaining over 24,900 likes in a comparable span of time (shown below, left and right).

On January 21st, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #7" to Twitter,^[7] gaining over 20,000 likes in two months (shown below, left). On January 22nd, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #8" to Twitter,^[8] gaining over 20,400 likes in a comparable span of time (shown below, right).

On January 23rd, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #9" to Twitter,^[9] gaining over 3,500 likes in two months (shown below). Following this comic, the artist took a month-long break from the series.

On February 28th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #10" to Twitter,^[10] gaining over 16,300 likes in a month (shown below, left). On March 7th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #11" to Twitter,^[11] gaining over 34,900 likes in three weeks (shown below, right).

On March 14th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #12" to Twitter,^[12] gaining over 27,700 likes in two weeks (shown below, left). On March 28th, Mimiyori posted "Among Us Girl #13" to Twitter,^[13] in which Among Us Girl is told she's unable to have children, gaining over 87,600 likes and 8,100 retweets in a day (shown below, right).

Fan Art

Since the first comic's publication in early 2022, artist Mimiyori encourages fans of the comic to share fan art and content under the Twitter^[14] hashtag "#amogusgirl." Since January 2022, numerous pieces of fan art depicting Among Us Girl have been uploaded to the hashtag. For example, on January 16th, Twitter^[16] user @unlimitedworks_ posted a piece of art depicting Among Us Girl with the impostor smile, gaining over 980 likes in two months (shown below).

On January 19th, Twitter^[15] user @ecstasydemon posted a fan comic where Among Us Girl admits she's in love with Fall Guys Girl, gaining over 10,300 likes in two months (shown below).
