Syrmor is a YouTube channel, run by Toronto native Sherazee Syrmor, known for featuring videos of intimate conversations had through VRChat.

Online History

On July 21st, 2017, Syrmor joined YouTube. On December 29th, Syrmor posted their first video entitled "The future is now, grandpa" which is an comedic edit of Star Trek actors playing Star Strek's VR game (shown below). The video gained 171,000 views and 5,300 likes in 2 years.



On January 1st, 2018, Syrmor uploaded their most popular video of Ugandan Knuckles avatars in VRChat (shown below, left). The video accumulated 27.7 million views in a year. On January 20th, 2019, Syrmor uploaded the most popular of their "Humans of VR"[2] videos featuring an intimate conversation about bullying with a kid using a kermit the frog avatar (shown below, right). The video gained 4.3 million views in two months. Syrmor also made Jordan the Wholesome VRChat Kid famous by uploading a video that follows Jordan around in VRChat.



Syrmor also has a short series of vlogs where Sherazee meets up with friends from VR Chat. For example on July 10th, 2018, Syrmor uploaded a video entitled, "Korean Bird talks about his Brother's death in VRchat" (shown below, left). On November 11th, Sherazee uploaded a video about meeting the person behind the Korean bird in real life (shown below, right). The vlog episode obtained 708,000 views in four months.



Reputation

On March 16th, 2019, Syrmor announced in a video that one of the people featured in a "Humans of VR" video was able to raise month for himself on Twitch following Syrmor's video (shown below). On March 27th, 2019, Kotaku[1] published an article entitled, "A YouTuber Finds Wholesome, Heartbreaking Stories Behind Silly VRChat Avatars" which featured an interview with Sherazee Syrmor. The article labels "Syrmor's brand [as] the kindness of talking to other people online."
