About

The Annoying Orange[1] is an american comedy web series created by Dane Boedingheimer for his own company Gagfilms in 2009 starring an anthropomorphic orange annoying other fruits, vegetables and other objects that appear in the kitchen.

Origin

Before the series, Boedingheimer created many talking food videos with Adobe After Effects and released them on his site and another website named JibJab. The video down below is one of his first talking food videos made in 2006 starring Theresa Barket bringing out a carton of eggs to make fried egg.

After then, he released on his YouTube Channel daneboe on the October 9, 2009 the first Annoying Orange video starring the main character Orange annoying an Apple.

The video has gained over 100'000'000 views (2012). Later, many viewers asked for more videos with the orange but it was only meantto be the only Annoying Orange video. After 4 other videos starring the orange, Boedingheimer created another YouTube account called realannoyingorange on the January 11, 2010. The video down below is the first video created on the YouTube channel.

Annoying Orange Gaming

On March 24th, 2014, Dane Boe started the Annoying Orange Gaming channel where characters from The Annoying Orange series play video games and commentates about it. Annoying Orange Gaming also includes Gaming Grape who originally made his appearance on the Annoying Orange video Gaming Grape.

Make A Wish Foundation

On August 31st, 2016, the latest episode of HOW2 was posted on The Annoying Orange channel to show you How To Make-A-Wish Come True. The character Pear explains about a boy name Jason from the Make-A-Wish Foundation who's only wish is to meet the staff behind the scenes of The Annoying Orange to make his wish come true and to have a lot of fun times together.

TV show

In 2012, there was a TV show about The Annoying Orange called The High Fructose Adventures of Annoying Orange. However, the show has been cancelled in 2014.

The show appeared on Cartoon Network, but it is not animated.
